"Ah good point," Ser Marq looks back at the village and notices that he cant even tell what sex any of the people are or whether or not if they are carrying a weapon, kicking himself for his idiotic question Ser Marq turns back to the scouts. "Well then gents, I am guessing we need to get closer to try and count their numbers."

"After you..." The knight Marq was talking to says.
Marq attempts to creep forward. As he gets closer, he can see that it is a fairly well populated village, he'd estimate several hundred adults, and twice as many children were present. Indeed it WAS difficult to tell the difference in the sexes between the two, and while he didn't see anything that any self respecting knight would call a weapon, There were plenty of people walking around with wood axes, knives, hoes, scythes, and the other implements of daily life which could become implements of death just as fast.

Ser Marq creeps back to where his forces are, and he addresses the men gathered around him "We are going to attack, I believe that we can take them rather easily given our superior training and arms."

After the battle Ser Marq sits on his horse and takes out a cloth to start cleaning his sword while he turns to the clans people that surrendered.

His men surround the remaining clansmen and women that survive, they keep their heads low to the ground, and do not speak.

Ser Marq approaches one of them with more elaborate furs while cleaning his sword, "Man, who is your leader at this encampment?"

Ser Marq looks to where the man pointed and sees the corpse of Jarga laying on the ground some feet away. "Well then would anyone here happen to know of anyone is trying to unite the different Clans in this area?"

The man shakes his head, "We don't know nothing about that. We keep to our own selves. Don't know why you Andals had to come and burn us out."

Marq fixes the man with a glare, "There has been an increase of raiding at our villages and towns, my brother's own village was ransacked and destroyed. For the safety of our small-folk me and my two brothers have been sent to find out what is causing this increase of pillaging and to put a stop to it. You know of no reason why you or the other clans are raiding more and more?"

"We've raided no one!" The clansman replies angrily, "Not since many years before the long winter. "Some other clans, perhaps, but not us. We're naught but goat herders and hunters now."

Ser Marq Sighs, this is the last thing he needed a bunch of innocent clansmen after killing half of them. "Well then could you perhaps point us into the correct direction of where the ones appropriate of raiding our villages and towns are? If you help me to attack only those that are guilty of the raiding I am sure there could be something that we could help you with."

The clansman spits on the ground in disgust, but says nothing.

Ser Marq guesses that is a no then turns back to the knights around him. "Ideas on what to do with these clansmen good Sers? I would rather avoid more bloodshed but I do not want them to follow us and attack us unexpectedly."

"Your the boss Ser," one replies with a shrug of the shoulders. The others do likewise.
