At the pause, Ragnor replies, "Farwynd will be informed. And my wife is a woman grown. Valon is young. Impressionable. Even if I must stay here, I ask leave to send the two of them home. It can be to New Pyke, if you would rather they be closer to the capital for the time being."
He continues at the mention of the Arbor. "The Arbor will be emptied of every man, woman, and child. You have my word."

"Every Ironborn man, woman and child," Rhaenys stipulated firmly. "If any of the Redwynes' servants, or the common people are still there, your men must leave them in peace to get on with their lives. As to that other matter, I do not give permission for your wife and child to leave Kings Landing. They will remain there under my protection until I deem otherwise. Is that clear?"

Gen bit her lip at the back of the room, but said nothing. She slipped back through the door, heading to the Darkest Horn.

"Perfectly. Am I to be given a tower cell, or will it be straight to the black cells for the unnamed crime I have apparently committed?"

Rhaenys smiled and shook her head.
"Neither. You are not a prisoner, Lord Greyjoy. I simply need you to remain in the city for the time being. I expect you to obey me in this. If you attempt to leave without my permission, you will be guilty of disobeying me. Otherwise, if you simply accept the position, you will have your freedom of the city. I regret it, but it must be done, to ensure that the Arbor is free. Once we have word that the Arbor is free of your men and the Redwynes have taken control, the Lord Hand or myself will give you leave to do as you please once more."

Ragnor nods. "The raven will be sent immediately. I have your leave to make for the rookery, and then to see my wife and son?"

She almost rolled her eyes but it was not queenly. so she kept her dignity instead
"Ofg course. So long as you stay within the city walls you can do what you think fit. I don't wish to separate a family, Lord Ragnor, believe me."

Jax watched from near the Hand's seat his hands on the hilts of his two short swords, as the Hand's guard lined the walls. The quick-mouthed sellsword yawned.

The Targaryen Prince arrives at the Throne Room and sweeps in. He is attended by the captain of his men and follower Ser Maekar Velaryon.
"Lord Dayne." The Prince acknowledged the man with a nod. "You requested my presence?"

Standing unobtrusively by the wall was Lord Grandison. A Baratheon men to the bone, he had decided to attend the meeting in case anything was that that might interest Lord Selwyn.

"I did." Euric replied. "It appears you have been bringing large groups of men into Kings Landing. The city is already full enough without excess soldiers and the Goldcloaks are quite adapt at protecting the city."

Aegon raised a silver eyebrow.
"My men are merely returning, after fighting in Driftmark to their quarters in Kings Landing. There is plenty of room where I have them billeted. I have no more men in Kings Landing than what I originally had, before I left for Driftmark."
