7) Character Personal History:
Ganieda was born the only bastard of Lord Harlaw and a common whore from somewhere in the islands. She grew up in the brothel she was born in protected by her mother and the whores from her Father with whom she shared a mutual dislike, bordering on hate.
She was friends with two of the other whore's children and learned to fight with them, when she was 13 her mother died, leaving her at the hands of her adoptive family within the brothel. She perfected her skills with sword and axe, and during one fight killed one of her childhood friends, after the girl tried to strangle her. She later found out that her Father had bribed the girl into doing it.
When the Others came, Ganieda answered the plea from the Queen, going decidedly against her fathers wishes as she did so. After the war in the North she and Lord Ragnor Greyjoy started a casual affair. She found out that while they were fighting the terror in the North, her father had taken the remaining men and the fleet to destroy Oldtown. She was the one that suggested to the Queen that the punishment should fit the crime and as a result her Father's head was removed.
She was given her father's name by the Queen on the condition that she would marry Ragnor Greyjoy and then he would get the Iron Islands. To make sure that Ragnor came back, the Queen gave Ganieda a place in her household, almost counting her as a friend.
She went to the Dragon Pits at the bidding of Queen Rhaenys, losing her childhood friend in the process. She managed to fight off alot of the men in the barrack, and succeeding in damaging one of the cult leaders.
Ganieda gave birth to a son in February, naming him Valen and hoping that Lord Ragnor never discovers the blood father.
8) Character Physical Description: Ganieda is medium height and willowy with black hair, that she keeps bound up in a leather band. She has dark eyes and is considered pretty.
