"Ser Owen did us an exellent service there," Rhaenys admitted. "I am most appreciative but my lords were not best pleased when Owen first arrived with so small a force. The realm is still threatened, my lord. It will be some time before peace can be achieved. I grow worried about Lady Stark. It wounds me that she would cause me trouble."

Tyberion's head tilted, "My Queen are you asking me to use my limited influence on the young woman to help secure peace?" He paused for a moment, "I had heard that you imprisoned her."

"Purely because she would not accept my decree. I had hoped she would calm down so long as I had her in my custody but it wasn't to be."
Rhaenys sighed.
"Lord Tyberion, surely you would not demand a man's head for committing an act that was purely accidental?"

"No, I would demand a man's head to see if you valued me more then the man." Tyberion laughed, and then shook his head, "But she is young, and has hated Thatcher ever since he was victorious in a duel with one of her most trusted bodyguards. This incident is only on Karstark though, and Bea must be convinced that his head is the only one she needs."

Conwell watched the exchange between Queen and Lord of the West. He admired his father's command of language. He tried to keep his face an emotionless mask as he considered the queen. He found himself siding with his father against the queen's attempts at modesty.

The queen's eyes burned with feeling as she looked down at Lord Lannister.
"Then help me do it. I will not ask you to intervene on behalf of the realm, that would not be right even though I wish to see no more havoc wreaked upon us. Do it for Beatrice, Lord Tyberion, for the friendship you share. She is young and impetuous and this unjust hatred of Lord Thatcher will blight her life if she does not take steps to see that it does not. Unfortunately, Beatrice believes that Karstark is not such a bad man despite all evidence to the contrary. It is necessary to provide evidence against him that is so strong even Beatrice cannot doubt it."

"If you ask Lord Thatcher he will be able to tell you just how good I am at controlling Beatrice's tempers." Tyberion replied, "I do not recall him every appreciating the service I preformed for him that day."

"He didn't tell me about it to be sure," Rhaenys said. "If you are so skilled, help me now. The lion and the dragon should work together, especially when we are linked by marriage."

Tyberion nodded, "I will help you of course. As soon as I can arrange it, I will travel North to met with her." He smiled, "I am your loyal subject."

"I know you are," Rhaenys said with a friendly smile. "However, could you not persuade Lady Stark to come to you? I thought of the two of you she was the one who I could place most faith in and now I see that I was wrong. It would be as well to get her out of the North and therefore out of her seat of power."
She hoped their food was coming soon.
"How would you persaude Lady Stark to see reason?"

Tyberion leaned back and smiled, "That is much more difficult. I will ask her, but those in near rebellion seem unlikely to leave their protection." He folded his hands, "As to the how. I am sure you would find it quite boring."

"I am sure I would not," Rhaenys answered. "I am interested in the doings of all my lords paramount and i earnestly desire peace. I want only to work with you, Tyberion."

Tyberion nodded, "Well first I would invite her to dinner. There would be three minstrels playing a soft song in the background. The room will be lit by candlelight so there is a single island of light for just the two of us. I will lean forward, and take her hand like this." Leaning forward he gripped Rhae's hand in his, "I will caress up her arm, and talk softly. Our eyes will never waver from one another's. Once I noticed that her cheeks have colored, I will raise her hand slowly to my lips, and flatter her." He let go of Rhae's hand, and smiled, "Then I will... convince her."

Rhaenys sat unmoved. She didn't like or desire Tyberion, though she pretended to seek his friendship. She didn't like his connection with Beatrice either but was desperate enough to exploit it now.
"It would be excellent if you were to succeed," she said. "You seem very confident."

"There is no woman I can not convince if I put my mind to it." Tyberion smiled confidently.
