7) Character Personal History: Gaspard became lord of Yronwood as a mere lad of 10. There was little happiness after that, save a brief and tragic marriage to a Santagar. She was young woman, but it seemed cold, hard Gaspard lost interest after she delivered his heir. He did not take mistresses or beat her, he merely little room for her in his world of letters and taxes and political meetings.
It was only after her suicide that Gaspard even deigned to visit his son's nursery. Perhaps his wife's death had finally taught him the lesson his mother and tutors never bothered with. Today, he still maintains a stern facade in all his dealings, but he still takes time to spend with his growing son Trystane.
