After a brief discussion by the soldiers at the gatehouse, and after they had checked with the Old Dog, the gate was opened, and Lord Dayne's men escorted into a position within the Flowstone Yard. Lord Euric was shown immediately to the King's Pyre Tower.

There is a brief moment of discussion as a superior officer is sought. Eventually "Old Dog" Hill gives Flowers approval to enter.

Queen Rhaenys rides out of Harrenhal with Jeyne Ladybright at her side. The remaining Queensguard are left behind to guard the princes. A dozen Targaryen men at arms are with them.

After a short while, "Old Dog" Hill, and a squad of sixty Traitors' Sons march out of the Gates, quickly overtaking the Queen and her single Queensguard. They quietly drop into formation around the Queen, and don't say anything, although Old Dog gives Jeyne Ladybright several evil looks, for being the worst bodyguard the world has ever seen.

Jeyne pointedly ignored Old Dog. She didn't care what he thought. Her job was to serve the queen and that meant obedience. Rhaenys, having expected something of the kind, merely smiled at the newcomers.
"Greetings, good men," she called to Old Dog and Corwyn. "So you have come to join us on our little adventure."
