"To see you alive, for one." Euric answered with a smile. "Surely you were target number two for the Cultist, after the Queen of course." He laughed. "But that was not really what I meant. I took you for a traitor. My friend Corwyn was worried."

Talyn gave a short bark of laughter, "So what surprised you, that I was alive, or that I wasn't a traitor?"

"I guess both." Euric answered. "Though I have no doubts about your skill. Corwyn never doubted you allegiance but we were all a little unnerved." He thought for a moment. "So, what happened? I'm very confused about your father's surrender."

Talyn shook his head. "I don't know what his terms were. He never told me. Unfortunately they were never convinced I was a traitor. I spent all the time except after my escape as a captive. Whatever was negotiated, I doubt my father lost out on the matter, although I cannot think of what he might have had to gain."
Except one thing, Talyn though nervousily.

Euric nodded. "I see... I guess your father was far too clever for us all. Well, he's dead now... I've heard talk about this Straw Man. Is he still out there?"

Talyn shook his head, "I don't know, I haven't been able to walk the battle field and look for his head. But if he's not, someone will need to kill that cocksucker."

"Definitely." Euric answered with anger in his voice. "At least our greatest threat is gone. Though I am not sure about future alliances."

"I don't know anything about that," Talyn said with a shrug, before his eyes seemed to focus a little bit, "You're betrothed to Princess Alysanne, isn't that so? I heard that somewhere. Or is that just camp gossip bullshit?"

"It is the truth, though I am concerned about it as well." He stopped and spoke up again. "The taking of the names that is."

Talyn shrugged, "It looks like we're going to be brothers-in-law than." he smiled weakly.

Euric raised an eyebrow. "How do you mean? Liliyana is betrothed to Martell and Kyma..." He stopped.

"is my wife." Talyn finishes the sentence for him, "It was done by my father's men. Before the High Septon. They were threatening to kill children unless we did as they asked, although in truth, it would not have required such convincing, for it seems we are in love, regardless of the bad circumstances."

A barrage of expressions came over Euric's face, which finally ended in a smile. "In that case I am happy for you... brother." He chuckled and got up. "Well, I doubt you need anyone keeping you from rest."

Talyn had not expected any kind of warm reply, he nodded gratefully. "I think that the Queen knows. I can not imagine that my father did not tell her during negotiations. That must have been the point of the whole thing. In any case, if she doesn't know yet. I would prefer to be the one to say. Would you.." he coughed, "do me that courtesy?"

"Of course." Euric replied. "It is not my place to tell other people their secrets." He turned to leave but stopped. "Ironically enough, I was told to give you this." He pulls out a folded scroll and hands it to Talyn."
