She listened in silence until he'd finished.
"Yes. What you say makes sense so I think it was either that, or she hoped to curry favour with me given the recent rift between us. And you're right, Aegon, she did claim to be acting in accordance with my decree, though she had no authority to do what she did. But don't worry, this will not be allowed to happen again."

When halted for the night, Prince Aegon's 300 men pitch camp to the rear of the main host. As per usual, his camp is well organised with rows of tents spaced out evenly and surrounded by a small ditch filled with caltrops. The perimeter is patrolled day and night by Aegon's men.
In the centre of the camp is Aegon's command tent. The tent flies two banners, Aegon's own 'Lone Dragon' standard - a single headed red dragon on black as well as the three headed Targaryen banner.
Aegon's men are in a permanent state of readiness. Both on the march and at night, the Prince regularly sends out scouting parties to cover the rear approaches to the host, looking for possible hostile forces. Aegon himself sometimes leads a small scouting party, honing his skills and finding out for himself the lay of the land, although he personally never ventures too far from the main body of his men. In his short absences, Ser Maekar Velaryon commands the rearguard.
