While the armies prepared to march, Rhaenys told Maekar that he was to marry one of the Reed girls. Not best pleased, he insisted on meeting them at once so he could choose between them.

Myrrah Reed is tall, with a long slim figure. Her eyes are the brown and piercing. She has the looks of a dancer and the grace of one as well.
Osha resembles more a toad. Short, squat, and with three chins. She wipes at her bulbous nose as she is introduced to Maekar.

Maekar couldn't manage to hide his admiration of one girl and his dislike of the other's looks. Nevertheless, he bowed to them both, as protocol dictated.
"My ladies, it is good to meet you. I hope that we shall be friends by the time I leave Moat Cailin for the south."

Myrrah nodded cooly, and crossed her arms in front of her body. She studied the lines on a near wall.
Osha chuckled deep in her throat, "I doubt this farce shall take long, Ser Pretty. You have already made your choice, I think." She winked at him. And took a wine glass from a servant.

He had to laugh at Osha's comment. She seemed easier to get along with than Myrrah but Maekar could not pretend any physical attraction to her. He knew that life was harder for ugly women than for ugly men and felt sorry for Osha though he was not accustomed to feel sympathy for the plight of others.
"I am thankful you bear me no ill will for that which a man cannot help," he told Osha. "Lady Myrrah, you are quiet. Is aught amiss?"

Osha spoke again, "She is just jealous that you are so taken with me. She is also jealous of my wide birthing hips. I have been told they are wide enough for a five year old to crawl out. My breasts also put hers to shame. I could nurse a whole litter of dragon cubs. And many men have complimented me on my tongue. They say it was built for pleasure." As she stuck out her long tongue, which only increased her likeness to a toad, she also reached out a hand and rubbed along his manhood with a laugh.
Myrrah simple ignored her sister and Maekar.

He laughed again and pressed her hand more firmly against him, trapping it there.
"You are a shameless wench, my lady Osha."
He wished Osha had been granted her sister's beauty.
"Have you ever known a man?" He asked her, pretending he'd forgotten all about Myrrah.

"I have known many men ser. And they have known me." She winked bawdily, "I am quite popular with the men of the Neck."

"Ah, you really? My wife must be faithful," Maekar said.
Even if I am not.

"I am not married ser. So I have not acted like a married woman." Her hand began to move against him. "But I will certainly only lie with one man when I am married." She winked.

His eyes widened with interest and he gasped as her hand moved against him.
"You have...experimented with women, my lady?"

Osha's hand speed up, and molded to the shape of the bulge in his pants. "I have not yet. But I have always dreamed of trying it. I hear woman from outside are more sophisticated, and slutty." she giggled.

"Well, not knowing you very well, Lady Osha, I wouldn't presume to compare you with my former lovers," Maekar answered.
He hissed in a breath.
"But gods, if you are going to do that, at least unlace my breeches first!"

Osha stepped forward, and unlaced his breeches just enough to fit her hand inside of them.
Myrrah sighed, and turning walked from the room.
Osha spoke as her hand returned to its stroking movement, "I will of course compare you to my former lovers. But I can already assure you ser, you measure for beyond most Neck-men."
