He took to travelling the Free Cities with his older sister, Ania, and her sworn protector Lexo Kolle. Amyrio became familiar with the sights and smells of the other Free Cities, and even travelled as far as King's Landing. He often found himself intereacting wth seedier side of any city, and his penchant for getting himself into trouble with locals meant that Lexo, the huge, tatooed and stoic Volantene acted almost as often as Amyrio's protector as Ania's.
At 17 he returned to Pentos for had planned to be a brief stop before continuing on to Braavos. However, when he returned he was quickly sucked into a plot by one of his older brothers, Gorios, to murder their father and all those brother who stood to inherit before him. Gorios framed Amyrio for the murders, and Amyrio, who lacked the connections Gorios had built in Pentos, was forced to flee Pentos before he was killed.
Amyrio and Ania fled to Westeros, finding refuge in King's Landing, when Gorios' whisperers were far fewer than in the Cities. Stranded for the first time without the luxuries of the Mopatis family, Amyrio took up work as a sellsword, and went north with the army to fight under the Queen.

Lexo Kolle, 28, the seven foot, tatooed, long axe-wielding sworn protector of Ania Mopatis from Volantis. Has very little Westerosi, but doesn't speak much in his own language anyway, so it is not terribly noticable. The only servant who followed Amyrio and Ania after they had to flee Pentos.
Lexo was found by Amyrio and Ania's father fighting in a gladitorial pit in Slaver's Bay. Terenus Mopatis payed a high price to Lexo's master to buy him from him, as the Volantene was extremely successful in the pit, and known to attract great crowds.
Lexo's loyalty to Ania is unwavering, following her with fierce dedication wherever she goes, and gladly putting his life before hers to save her from danger.
