Talyn nodded, "and besides keeping out dregs like myself, what are your orders? Or is that it?" He gestured at the tents behind them.
"Seems like a big crowd to keep out one man."

"We are waiting for the King." He replied.

"King... who exactly," Talyn asked curiously.

"King Selwyn." The man replied.

"Selwyn knelt to Saella. Saella died against the Wildlings, and Selwyn knelt to Rhaenys. I was there," Talyn replied.

The men shrugged, "We will see."

Talyn nodded, "See you on the other side," he smiled wolfishly, before turning and mounting. It was frustrating. To be so close to her, and unable to get there. Of course what he'd do when he got there, he still didn't know. He could only hope that a plan would come to him in time.

Jack moved up beside Ser Talyn as they began moving again.
"So what's the plan, Captain? I don't mean to be nosy, but I'd rather head into the viper's nest with a clear mind on what I am doing there than having to stumble through darkness."

"That's an excellent question Jack, and as soon as I have one, I'll let you know," Talyn replied, looking unhappy about it, "First and foremost we have to get to Harrenhal and figure out where the Princess is, and how she's being held. Everything else will fall into place based on what we learn there... I hope."

"I'll trust that you'll take us through this, Captain. You have gotten us this far, hopefully the gods continue to smile on you." Jack said with a shrug.

Talyn shook his head with a wry smile, "I never promised you we'd survive Jack. I've never done that yet, and I don't plan to start now. But at the very least we'll go down swinging. When we get to the other side of the River, once we get settled in, I want you to do a little reconnaissance, see if you can find out how many men they... we... whatever, have. How many infantry, how many horse, who commands, and their positions."

"I never expected to survive the fighting up in the North, Captain. So the way I see it, I am already living on borrowed time, and you've managed to get us this far so don't sound so glum; it doesn't suit you." Jack said and put a hand on Talyn's shoulder.
"I will keep my eyes open."

Stone is escorted to the Royce Pavilion. There are men training with Swords there. Lord Brynden Royce, Lord Eustace Baratheon and Lord Rodrick Mallister were standing back wagering on the men working with their blades.
