"Well, tonight, put aside any troubling thoughts and bask in my warm voice. If not I'll have to take offence." She smiled again. "I am not important enough for the Queen to accept my invitation, but I don't blame her. At least I won't admit it to anyone else. She needs to show her face publicly once in a while, to show that she is alive and well."

Ariel smiled. "Of course. Your voice cannot help but lift a wearied heart. And if the Queen will not attend, it is her loss and hers alone."

She bites her lip slightly, "Well, that may be true. Still, if things go well I think I will be staying here for a while. Or I will return home. I have no place with the Queen as it stands."

Ariel nodded. "Indeed. Or I may have a place in my service for you, when my retinue has room for expansion. Though that depends on what kind of lands I get."

"That would be kind of you, though I don't know of what use I could be. What do you mean by lands my princess? Has the queen seen fit to bestow lands upon you?"

Ariel nodded. "Aye. I'll be granted my own lands to rule once the Queen finds out which castles are currently unoccupied." She gave a slight frown. "This war has left many lines destroyed."

"I see, that is sad to hear but an unfortunate reality. I can think of no better candidate to rule a great castle. I am but a simple trader," she reminded Ariel playfully. "I would be saddened if you were inland. But that is still a long time away, I hope there is some way I can serve you."

Ariel smiled. "I imagine there might be several ways," she responded. "For now, I hope to hear your song."

"I've been improving my westerosi for a time like this. Still, some parts will have to remain in Valyrian, but the language sounds much more fluid than this land's language." She smirked, "So I think if they can't understand, at least they will be soothed. I only fear that I will somehow seduce Lord Tyberion evermoreso."

Ariel chuckled. "I've heard a song sung by a Naathi woman before. It was in her own language, of course, and I couldn't understand a word of it, but nonetheless the sound was nothing short of divine."
She smiled softly. "And don't worry. Merely make it clear that you are no longer for sale, not even to a Lannister."

"Indeed, he has the little lady for his pleasure, or so it seems. I'll need to try out this concept poets and bards call love. It's supposed to be priceless." Shah chuckles.

Ariel grinned. "Aye. Though what the sagas speak of and what really happens are as different as gold and copper. That's not to discount the truth, of course."

"Oh the cost of love, or the worth of it. I can sing a song of such, but not know the true meaning. This late flower still has some room to bloom. Flowery speech aside, I must ask a favour of you, if you find any dresses, keep me in mind would you, this is my last one before I have to start rewearing mine."

Ariel smiled softly. "I have only the two myself, one in my foster-father's colors, the other in Targaryen. I do apologize," she responded. "On the other hand, I may be able to get my hands on some as we move south, and I'll remember your need."

"Thank you, it would be kind of you. I will miss your company, even though we have only spoke so little, I do not have many that I can begin to call a true friend, but I feel it with you my princess."
