"First of all, I apologise for my outburst earlier. It was uncouth and unnecessary. I hope you will forgive me. Rhaenys has as well, so you may rest at ease." He motioned towards the cabinet.
"Wine?"

"It's alright. You just lost your temper, that's all."
She eyed the cabinet.
"I don't know.. uh.. maybe a little."

Moving to the cabinet, Saenarys began.
"I asked you here to discuss your would-be husband."
He set a beautiful crystalline flute of Summerwine in front of his sister. He then poured one for himself.
"Sorry, dinner is not ready yet, the cook deigns to have all conditions be perfect before the food is done."

"Thanks." she sipped the wine.
"What about him?"

"Tell me why it is that you wish to marry him?" He said plainly, watching her over the rim of his glass.

"Isn't it a bit obvious?" she asked with a smirk.

"Well I would hope my sister would have enough sense not to fall for a man because of his looks or brawn. You are a Royal Princess, blood of the dragon. He's just an boy with a sword. What reasoning is there behind your love?"
He was smiling.

She took a deep breath. "Is that what you called me here for? Shouldn't you care more for my happiness and well-being than opinions of those important lords out there?"

"Alysanne, you are my sister. You are one of a handful of people I would defend to my dying breath, regardless of your error. I care not what petty nobility thinks, I only want to know that your love is not simple infatuation." He finished his flute and poured another for himself.
"I spoke with Ser Euric briefly. He seems an alright sort. He was smart enough to not accept a spar meaninglessly. He's quite arrogant, though that comes along with extreme youth coupled with skill." He took another draft.
"Tell me one thing about him, that, to you, is irrefutable evidence of love."

Her eyes flickered. She was not going to tell her brother how he made her feel. "Never ask a question if nothing depends on the answer."

"My blessing depends on the answer, sister." He shook his head sadly. "I want you to be happy. But I want to know you're making a good decision."

"The decision is indeed mine to make, be it good or not. Thank you for worrying, but you shouldn't."

"It is Rhaenys' decision to make, sister. Lest you forget, she is the one who arranged this. You are most fortunate that you get this opportunity, when your other sisters are being forced upon." He finished his second glass.
"I will be leaving as soon as possible to retrieve Kyma. Rhaenys has given me command of the forward marshall, and I aim to complete the objective." He placed a hand on hers.
"I only do this because, if I die, I will want to die knowing that my sister chose a good warrior for her husband, and not someone she would regret. Because if I'm gone, he's your only defense against the world."

She smiled.
"That is not true. You sound like you think I'm completely helpless on my own. And I have friends who love me just as much as you do."

"This world is dangerous Alysanne. I've seen the dark side of men. Humor an older brother so that he has faith in his sister's man."
