Selwyn, Lord Pristyle Roxton, and Ser Barelston Musgood await a man as they travel south along King's Road to Winterfell.

Saenarys clomped confidently along the way, his piebald mare a lively sort, and seeming to hop more than gallop. He spotted the men a ways down and hailed them.

Lord Roxton waved Saenarys over, "Did you receive our message. The King wishes to speak to you alone."
Selwyn glanced at Roxton, "The Lord Hand, Pristyle."

"I did." Saenarys said, he was confident, though cautious, as any warrior would be. He nodded to Pristyle, understanding the nature of this meeting to an extent, by the manner of Lord Roxton's address.
"An odd sort of place to meet, though, no?"

Roxton spoke, "Because of the march we did not have a better location. I apologize for the inconvenience but we wanted to speak to the Master of Coins sooner rather then later."
Selwyn simply watched the procession of the army. Musgood was openly studying Saenarys though.

Saenarys did not mind the inspection, he knew that fighters, much like Musgood appeared to be, were always sizing up other warriors, it was instinct as much as anything else.
"So, I hope this isn't bad news. You haven't come to tell me to ship off have you? I do so like this frigid hell hole." Saenarys asked, smiling in good natured humor.

Roxton shook his head, "We came because The Barrel has basically preforming your duties for the Army for years now, and... Selwyn thought he could aid you greatly in your task."
Musgood smiled, "I could make a fair deputy I bet. Take all the work out of it for you. You just check my reports, and the like."

"Ah."
The Whitfyre's smile waned a bit, though he still had a twinkle in his eye.
"I suppose that isn't unreasonable. Though I do wonder as to the exemplary treatment. I understand what this means, in a sense. Should I be offended or flattered, King Selwyn?"

Selwyn glared at Saenarys, "It is Lord Hand Selwyn. My men forget themselves more then is forgivable." His glare moved to Roxton easily.
Roxton winced, "I apologize I have spent years thinking one thing, and months saying the other." He sighed, "We do not intend to flatter or offend. Just trying to ease the pressure of your transition. Have you ever balanced the ledgers of a whole nation before?"

Saenarys shook his head.
"No. I will welcome any help you can give on the matter." He paused, looking around at the scene before him. He had not had much time to view the subtle beauty of Westeros when he was sailing to meet with his family. All of the attention had been on making as much haste as possible. He was glad for the slow movement over earth now, however. He was always first and foremost, an aesthetic person.
"Is there anything else?"

Roxton opened his mouth, but Selwyn spoke first. "That is all, thank you." Selwyn stepped forward and offered him his hand.

Saenarys took the King's hand, and grasped it firmly. It was returned just as firmly.

Selwyn nodded, "If you need anything ask." He bowed his head and turned away.

Saenarys drew up and headed back the way he had come.
