"Of course you may." He handed the sword over to her. "Yet you must understand that I will have to be loyal to my Queen as well as to the Prince. I know Dorne has always been a little separate from Westeros in political terms, but I cannot show open defiance."

Aurora waved Dawn around almost cutting Euric's neck. "I think I am rather good with this blade. Perhaps I will have to train with it." She laughed, "We try to not have anything out in the open in Dorne. We prefer everything safely under the covers, and behind locked bedroom doors." She winked again, "Or guarded Tent flaps when the situation calls for it."

"Then that is something I will most definitely have to get used to." Euric replied, now truly feeling uncomfortable. "Though perhaps some things need not be covered up. I cannot tell if I truly have a skill for secretive matters."

Euric sighed. "Princess Aurora, there is no doubt that you are a beautiful young woman but the truth is that I will never be able to offer myself to take the hand of a dornish lady. I am set to wed one of Rhaenys' sisters." He smiled weakly and rose. "Perhaps I should spare you the joy of telling me to get out." He held out his hand for Dawn.

Aurora handed him the sword, "That is a shame. I have a younger sister. With a marriage alliance, it may have been easier to consider your request. But since you are resolutely bound to the Targaryens..." She sighs, "I am sure some lands can be arranged for you, but Starfall is a Lord's keep. Have a good day Ser Euric."

"I hope this does not shove an irreversible bond between our two houses." Euric replied, forcing himself to smile. Sorry father... sorry, Beric.
With that, he left.
