"That is good, perhaps you can explain the view that my lady had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing. Why would she order an attack on her allies?" The Myrish man said in quick Westerosi.

"My good man, I do not see how anything can be both unfortunate and pleasurable, but I will not bandy words with you," Maekar answered. "Fetch your lady, if you please. I would prefer her to be present for this discussion."
He wished that Shahrizai could speak the common tongue of Westeros. It would make life much easier.
"Does your lady speak the tongue of Sothorys?" He asked hopefully.
Necessity had forced himself to learn the rudiments of that language in order to make himself understood but he'd never been good at languages. He'd forgotten most all the Valyrian he'd learned as a boy, except for the rude words.

"Come. My lady does not speak much of that language. She can understand you mostly but not speak much of it." He invites him into the very warm room of Shah who sits by the fire place with her single serving maid kneeling next to her poking the fire. For once she is relieved of having to wear so many layers and she looks content in her light red dress. Lady Shahrizai turns her head and rises to meet her guest.

"Lady Shahrizai," said Maekar, giving the lady a courtly bow. "You are very beautiful. How do you fare?"

She tilts up her head at the unexpected Sothorys. "Feel warm, I like that," Shah offers in return. "Can't speak Sothroys good." She then speaks to her translator who relates. "For onces she feels truely warm, though she still wishes it warmer and without the reminders that it is near winter outside." He points to the hides along the windows to trap heat in. "She thanks you for the compliment and asks what she can do for you."

Maekar smiled for a change.
"There are many things a lady such as she could do for a man like me, but I don't know if she'd be willing."

"You right, I can many things do, with and to you. But I no think you come for love making." The small maid poked a log and the flames grew larger. Shah sat back down in her chair and waved Maekar into another one nearby the fire. The translator stood idle with arms folded, looking more like a guard than ever.

Maekar continued to smile.
"Perhaps one day I will come for lovemaking," he said. "Not yet, though. I wanted to know what your plans are. Are you going to march south with us?"

Maekar groaned. It wasn't a good start for Rhaenys.
"A mistake was made by one of the queen's men when he failedi n the task given him by the queen. The queen herself had no part in his actions and she is very angry with him."

"Good to hear. Queen not have many good councilors, I feel sad for her, all alone. If task could have so many dead as chance of happening, then task must not have been good idea?"

"It was necessary," Maekar said insistently. "At least part of it was. The killing most certainly wasn't."

"I see. You can go now then." Shah sends her maid to get some olives.
