"Of that I can assure you." Talyn agreed with a curt nod, "And better a day late than to not have had the stomach to arrive at all."

"Aye, Ser," he said, and turned his horse to go seek the famous "Squire." Riding his horse into the woods, he does not find Squire, but rides by the warrior and is whistled for after passing. Squire raises an eyebrow questioningly. "Thatcher says they're friendly, Lord Bolton and some mandermen. Reinforcements, I suppose. You'll be getting a few more scouts to boss a round," Bran said with a grin.

The Squire nodded, "Thought that was a flayed man on the banner." He looked around, "Hu, take all the regular cavalry back to the line." He turned to his other side, "Come one the rest of you on me." He kicks his horse and begins to ride.

"That's all for now milord. It's a pleasure to have you with us."

Bran spurred his horse to follow Tallbody to scout the southern route, presumably.

Bolton rode south quietly, and steadily.

Talyn gave the order for the troop to continue moving southward. Scouts would be sent out to meet up with the troops that Lord Bolton's men had seen, and their commanders ordered to meet with Talyn so they could be brought up to speed, and report any information available on the south.

The men dispersed as commanded.

Ser Bennis rode into the van as elegantly as usual and went forward to Talyn Thatcher "Well met, Ser Thatcher." Said Bennis and slowed down the horse's speed. "I am Bennis Bealish, sworn sword to lord Jaime Corbray, who sent me here to help out with whatever you need."

Talyn looked at the man with unblinking eyes.
"I'll just assume you Lord Baratheon ordered your troop to the van as well?" He says. The question is rhetorical.

Two groups of Northmen are found one is fifty men, and the other 300. The leaders of these bands are brought to Thatcher as the forces join the Van.
Trent of the Deepwood is a one-eyed warrior who wears a patch with a lightning bolt painted upon it. He commanded the smaller group.
Ranger Fischer commanded the larger group. He and almost half his men where the black of the Night's Watch.

"Master Trent, Ranger Fischer, we are glad that you have come. This is Lord Bolton, and Ser Brandon Tarly. The rest of the army is about a day behind us, but if you would march with us, your services would be appreciated, since you can tell us much of the way to the south. The Queen and Lord Selwyn are with the main column of men, perhaps a day behind us." Talyn gestures at each of the other two men he referenced as he speaks, and than rocks back slightly in the saddle to await a reply.

Trent simply nodded, and pulled his horse to get inline.
Fischer burst out, "I have heard. Your men spoke, is the Lord Commander there as well?" He licks his lips eagerly.

"I'm pleased to say that the Lord Commander is with the main column as well. Without the men of the Night's Watch our victory would not have been possible," he says. True or not, it was a nice statement and Talyn wanted the man to be eager to assist further.
