Ser Mearn spotted the Oakheart woman, and lead the horse towards her. There had been rumors going through the line of her arrival, but Ser Mearn had not seen her before now. He put himself walking beside her.
"Lady Thorelda. Welcome to the Mander army, I was sorry to hear about your family."

Thorelda looked down at him from her horse, her hand moved down to her sword. "Who are you, Ser?"
Ser Neddrick looked at him.

"Ser Mearn Merryweather, my lady. I served your husband's brother until he fell."

"Good knight were you at the last battle? Did you stand against the ignoble wights and their thrice cursed masters?" Lady Thorelda asked.

"I did, I barely got out of there alive. Why the gods spared me is something I'll ever understand, my lady. Lord Oakheart fell to the blade of a Other and his son is missing, his body has not been found."
Ser Mearn had a sad look upon his face, talking about the Oakhearts.

"More diabolical deeds to be laid at the feet of the white demons." She shook her head sadly, "Then they are all dead. The end of the Oak line is nigh."

"The Mander is in for a bad time if the upstart Dawnroses is given LP-position. I have heard rumors about the Lord talking privately with the Queen."

Thorelda shook her head, "A calamity has already afflicted the Mander deeply. Whether it is a continuous malady or something from which we can now recover is our only concern. I have not met the current Dawnrose, but have not heard that many negative reports."

He shrugged.
"Maybe so, my men says he is a bit of a cold one but I am sure you know more about him than you do. I can only speak for what I know about Lord Oakheart, and I have not met a better man but he is dead now and his son weren't able to show what he was made of"

Thorelda nodded, "I am only barely acquainted with the man, but he does not seem nefarious. I off my condolences to your for the loss of your companion."

"Well, he was sort of your family as well, my lady, but I thank you for your words."

Thorelda shook her head, "I have not seen the boy in so long I can not picture him as a courageous warrior. Just the young boy with a toy sword."

Ser Mearn smiled a little at least at that comment.
"Well, there is not much to do about it now. He found his end up there somewhere."
He felt tired and bowed his head slightly.
"I am sorry, my lady, but I need to go and see to my men."
