Theodore had been walking around and come upon the dragons' nest. He kept some distance but got close enough to examine them and there choice of place. After a while he decided to reach his mind out towards them.

Theodore falls to the ground unconscious his mind aflame with dragon's thoughts. Men look at him mildly concerned. Eventually he is dragged to a tent.
When he awakes hours later with a deep ache in his head Kyma Targaryen is stalking back and forth in front of him.

He shakes his head and winces, feeling as if his brain was slamming into the inside of his skull."What the hell happened?"

He closed his eyes for a second,"I wasn't trying to warg into them, I just wanted to examine them, or rather there minds. "He tried to sit up but found that his body trembled and he collapsed backwards. "I am sorry Princess if I offended you, I merely wanted to communicate with them." He layed back and closed his eyes, but he was listening.

The second is clearly an after thought. "If I ever see you near the beast again, I will order them to defend themselves against you."

He frowned,"If I promise not to try that again may I come near them, I have a weak spot for curiosity, especially for these majestic beings." He really was just curious.

He nodded,"I think I could notice that myself, I guess it was his size that tipped me off to that." He tried to clear his head, no need to piss off a princess,"Excuse my manners, I apologize for angering you and disrespecting Ellanyria and Rhoddy, it will not happen again."

He watched her go with interest, why do I always piss off the beautiful and smart ones. He got up after a while and left the tent, Maybe I should find her.... and do what Drummy, apologize again, your an idiot. Instead he went back to camp and collapsed into bed.

It's been a while since we've spoken, what with the campaign and all and now the dispute over the throne.
To answer your question, Marbrand is a canny man, but as far as I know, he lacks a very extensive network of whisperers. He isn't a match for me in either area, but in terms of ability there's probably not a man Rhaenys has available who's better suited for the task. As for loyalty, I can tell you exactly how loyal he is: he's loyal to Warren Marbrand first, last and center. He's intelligent enough not to rock the boat if Rhaenys is strong, but with Rhaenys losing her grip on power, he'll be intriguing to secure his own power and quite possibly at her expense. So will everyone else on that damn council, mind, except Selwyn and that because Selwyn already has everything.
P.S. Don't let your sister know you're contacting me. She's still rather angry about me asking the lords to back my claim.

Well, the schism is done, at least, and I can take some of the burden of cutting the knots of plans away from the Queen. And I can begin talking with my friends again without worrying that the Queen will want their heads, which is always a plus.
