Shahrizai is helped out of her garments coated in frost. She goes forward with her translator at her side dipping her head before the Queen. Shah speaks to the translator, "My Ladyt Shahrizai of Myr gives greetings unto you Queen Rhaenys. She is sorry for your losses and the death of your mother greatly affected her."

"It is very kind of her," Rhaenys answered.
She had found it difficult to keep her eyes on Shandrazai when the translator was speaking.
"I am thankful for the Lady Shahrizai's condolences and I hope that her support for my mother will now be transferred to me?"

Some back and forth between the man and Shah. The man bobbed his head, "If the same agreements hold true, her family put faith in the Queen, and bringing food from the Cities when Westeros has been under a blanket of winter for so long is a costly venture."

"Of course it is. You will be amply recompensed when I am in funds."

Shah dipped her head again and spoke. "Lady Shahrizai says you are a kind woman and should be kind to your cousin as well. She has come a long way with you and your mother, too far to see turmoil break apart what your mother's legacy has strived for."

That put Rhaenys on her guard.
"What does Lady Ariel have to do with Lady Shahrizai?"

She spoke no more than whisps to her translator. "Nothing. In fighting amongst us here is the last thing we need. My lady and her family depend on this army surviving, not dying out in the harsh north before you can retake King's Landing."

"Everything depends upon that," Rhaenys answered. "But Lady Ariel is a threat to my authority and a possible figurehead for dissenters. I have no wish to fight her but I will most likely have to, one day."

Shah's speech was much faster. "The Lady says no one one fight you now when the enemy still holds your centre of power. Blood fueds do not concern my lady, but they do when they threaten her income and her family's faith."

"I don't fault her for being worried but I can make no promises. I will do whatever it takes to keep my throne. I wish to keep up our trading with your lady but I have to put the realm first."

Shah hugs herself as she speaks to her translator in rapid fluidity. "She only wishes that nothing happens until your throne is actually secured. My lady has been a quiet supporter and would not want to see failure after so much effort and blood has been put in by all. What would you have of lady Shahrizai?"

"Anything she is willing to give."

She nods after the translation and speaks to the man who in turn speaks to the Queen, "She will continue to give everything she did in service to your mother to you as well as long as the conditions remain the same."

"That is fair," Rhaenys agreed. "Those who stand by me can expect to receive my gratitude when I sit on the Iron Throne. It will be important to re-establish trade opportunities then, to heal the realm's economy. As the first, Lady Shahrizai will be in an excellent position."
She paused and smiled.
"I am sure that others will follow where she leads."
