Just out of curiosity, should the Ironborn not be increased by some small amount and the North decreased since the IB could call up 20,000 before they retook Bear Island?

And the Mander and the Ironborn in the same regard, due to the Shields.

These need to be fixed. They are the old ones. But I love how you Ironborn stay Ironborn.

Hey, I didn't weasel out of leaving Bear Island and the Shields for nothing. Though now that I am no longer IB I'm sure increasing their troops will come back to bite me in the ass at some stage.

Should anyone really be increased? The whole country was almost wiped out by Others. So it should be a question of how much everyone is getting lowered. If you ask me.

Right... right... it is only a matter of who loses the least.

And the Mander and the Ironborn in the same regard, due to the Shields. I edited the ship numbers to reflect that a couple of weeks back.

I think the North should lose the most. Maybe up to 50%. Than the Riverlands, Vale and West, followed by the Stormlands, Mander, Far Reach, Dornish and Iron born. The Crownlands should lose the least depending on what happens at Harrenhal, because Thatcher has kept them out of the fighting until now.

Well the thread indicates what the numbers were before the War broke out, and Smithy has only told me the percentage that the North lost, so I marked that in red.
Right now, the North could field 20,000 men of their usual 45,000, etc. I'll edit the rest of them as that information is made available to me.

Well the thing is Aaron that this was like a full on slaughter not just a war. Women and children, and even livestock and woodland creatures would have been annihilated. Think of the Black Death in Europe. between 1345 and 1400 the population fell by 20 million and didn't exceed its previous size until 1550. My understanding was that Smith is talking about a permanent lowering of the troop sizes to reflect that kind of devastation. Smith do I have that right?

I agree with you, Stranger, I just work with the numbers I'm given.

Yes, i understand. But this is not a temporary decrease correct? This is the NEW number that will be their maximum. correct?
