Impatiently Aegon brushed back a lock of silver hair that had fallen across his violet eyes. However at the mention of the Baratheon's name, those violet eyes had widened and were now studying Rhaenys with unblinking intensity.
" 'Selwyn'? The Baratheon has his own men to command. Why should he concern himself with the command of the Queen's men?"

"He's to be my Hand," she said bluntly. "He's an experienced commander and the Hand speaks with the queen's voice. That being so, I will give him overall command for all our forces, as well as his own men. Naturally he will be obliged to consult with me, though."
