Some of the large things that will be happening during the Time Jump, things that you may include in your stories.
1) Under the leader ship of Ser Cedric Lannister the West becomes independent and isolationist. The strengthen all of their fortifications, including those facing East. While Rodrick is annoyed by this, there is no war because Cedric still pays ample taxes, and bows to the King when necessary.
2) Summer starts two years into the Jump and continues for the duration.
3) Rodrick gets an immense loan, after personally asking the Sea Lord for it. Because of the war of the Basilisks there is much damage to the entire realm, and there is a great deal of debt accrued in repartitions. With the Kingdoms in danger of bankruptcy Rodrick begs the Sea Lord for a large loan of coin, and is granted it.
4) Rodrick leads a force to help Braavos gain the Stepstones. Fights amazingly, and helps take all the islands for Braavos. This war lasted five years, and took on six of the Free cities. Several fortresses on the Stepstones are granted to Westerosi Lords even though they all belong too the Sea Lord. Also Myr, Pentos, and Lorath are now nothing more then Braavos' dominions. Roodrick himself took the walls of Pentos with twelve legendary warriors.
5) Rodrick personally slays a famous Outlaw. The Black Dog became dissatisfied with Rodrick's reign, and this helmed leader began to fight the status quo of power. Over four years his legend grows, stealing from the elite, and giving to the lowborn he is song about in every dirty tavern room in the realm. The Lords claim his generosity is all hype. Eventually King Rodrick and his twelve hunt down the famed outlaw, and the two men engage in battle. It is Rodrick who smites his opponent's infamous helm, killing the man. It does not kills his legend however, and subsequently there are two Black Dog rebellions with other men donning his renowned head gear.
6) Qorgyle names Horas Martell as his heir when his wife is proven to be barren. After many, many years of attempting, Lord Qorgyle accepts that he and his wife will not be able to bear any children. He has grown close to Horas Martell over the years, helping to raise the boy from infancy.
7)Rickon becomes well respected Northern resident. Not lord, but not beholden to any lord. He travels from keep to keep, helping train warriors, and giving advice. Wise beyond his years men soon began to follow him. He serves at the wall, helping replant the Gift. He trains with the Rangers, Stewards and Builders. He is given a new name, called the Horned Wolf, his followers create a banner showing his heritage. He also stubbornly turns away any who say that Rodrick's reign is full of errors and mistakes. He has three Lords hung for attempting to convince him to revolt against his own brother.
8)Horas Martell gains favored deal with Sea Lord making Sunspear a rich city. A strong relationship between Sunspear and Braavos continues with the large population of ex-dornish now residing in his city. Many Braavosi merchants will only travel to the old Dornish capital. With Braavos' new strength in the region, many of the free cities are not allowed to trade with the Seven Kingdoms, with out using a Braavosi ship.
9) A small Ironborn rebellion happens against the Goodbrother's rule due to his overly pro-royalty nature. The Harlaws fight on Goodbrother's side, and the rebellion is defeated, but Goodbrother and adult sons are killed. Qhored Harlaw, lord of Pyke, proclaims himself the new leader of the Ironborn.
10) King Rodrick's reign is known for extravagance and excess. He hosts Grand Tournys, lavish feasts, and degenerate parties at his infamous hunting lodge, Longview. Rodrick has parties so known for debauchery he is called the Dirty Deer among the peasants, and nobles behind their kings back. Rodrick does rebuild his Kingdom, repairing most of the damage done by the invasion, but there is waste, and mismanagement at every turn. All projects seem to run smoothly until the King sticks his fingers into pot, and then he manages to ruin every porridge.
11)The Land of Dragons. Recently there are rumors of a new Kingdom being crafted out of the realm to the South of Valyria's Doom. Ships are sent to investigate but known return.
