Hey, Hey, I played Byren. I just didn't know what to do with him, so I made a character with a surer path.

Hi Jason & welcome to the game! Your characters look fine. My only comment is that having "Infiltration", "Stealth" & "Hiding" all as seperate skills for your first is a bit redundant in my opinion. If you want more 'sneaky-stuff', I'd suggest completely different but compatible skills, like Disguise, Forgery, Climbing, Running etc. Likewise your second has 3 what I'd call "related" skills - Charm, Persuasion & Bluff. Again I would just have 1 catch-all skill which'll free up some spaces for other skills which could complement them. And Daniel - Smith? Jeez, Benfry's started his own "House" despite being celibate & dead. This must be some kind of record

what do you mean. I created a character and I made him a smith so what. It was a common name in medieval times.

Daniel, your second and third have to be of the same loyalties/nationality as your first

Okay, I edited my skills so they wouldn't overlap so much.

Daniel, your second and third have to be of the same loyalties/nationality as your first It's not as if the Smith is any of import in the North, besides I was allowed to make a shepherd in the North and see how much trouble that caused.

wait for Stranger to get on, shouldn't be a problem if the dude moves to the south or something.

My first character. I hope this is alright. 1) Name: Jason Dondarrion 2) Age: 17. Born in 509 3) Nationality: Stormlands 4) Byname: None 5) Skills: Expert: Stealth Noteworthy: Scouting Noteworthy: Ambushing Apprentice: Skirmishing Apprentice: Sword-Fighting Novice: Awareness Novice: Stewardship Beginner: Persuasion Beginner: Disguise Second: 1) Name: Gregory Penrose 2) Age: 19. Born in 507 3) Nationality: Stormlands 4) Byname: None 5) Skills: Noteworthy: Stewardship Noteworthy: Charm Apprentice: Politics Apprentice: Running Novice: Legerdemain Novice: Throwing Dagger Beginner: Forgery Beginner: Stealth . Legerdemain basically means Agility, yes? (And yes, I had to look it up!) These look ok to me Jason but just a personal observation - I never found skills like "Awareness" to be of much use. They're a little vague and hard to use in practical situations and also tough to upgrade through deeds, though the Stranger may have a view on that. Also - Skirmishing? This is just a formation in fighting isn't it? Again, I struggle to see how a practical benefit can be applied in our game to this. We had a long discussion months ago about complimenting skills such as should a seperate "shield use" skill be a combat modifier and are things like "Speed" or "Strength" useable in combat & we decided not. You can use skills like Run in a practical sense because it gives you an edge over characters without it, but obviously if they're on horseback you're pretty stuffed either way. Anyway, I don't mean to be a naysayer, and feel free to ignore these comments as your character looks fine - I just think "skills" should be a bit more concrete & defined so that admins can take them into account more often when your character is in dangerous or important situations. Anyway, welcome to the game and if you have any questions, feel free to ask around - we're all fairly nice people

Ambushing, Scouting, and Skirmishing are all types of Battle, so highly redundant, I'd recommend picking one, and going with some other skills. Legerdemain, if that means Agility, would be an attribute, not a skill. It would serve no real purpose, I recommend replacing it.
