So its Melee or the Duel. Tallahar will enjoy beating some fish.
Tallahar will be broke after this war, Tourney and rewards for service.

Haha, I wonder how many tourneys will be happening then this year? Now that the war is over it is an exciting prospect.

The Duel format will be an interesting addition. Are you thinking of doing a knockout style like the "Karate Kid" (where you start off with 16 or so, fighting each other to 8, then to 4, then the final) Or a sort of 'mini-league' table with the one who wins the most fights will win the contest? Or the jousting format of a 'winner stays on'
Sorry for hijacking your intro thread Cedric!

Yea like Karate Kid, but you challenge your opponent like in a real Duel. So it's like the joust but you pick your opponent, But also all duel will have to be passed by the Lord. (Me or Smith) This is to stop from a Legendary fighting Experts all the way through.
Will those are my thought on how it will be.
Yea sorry Cedric but Tourney are fun. Why is Cedric such a dick to Robert I was being kind.

Aww I was hoping it would be like the Hedge KNight (I just read it today <3), you know, with the shield tapping and what not. You could definitely make Ser Humfrey one of the opposing champions in that situation.

Well that's the last option I was talking about. We've had that in the Tourney in Storms End and it worked quite well (see the Storms End threads to see what I mean) but it did suffer from, in my opinion, rewarding those who chose to joust at the very end. Meaning if you won the combat early on, you'd have a much harder job retaining your place than someone who just had to get lucky once. It's all good though

We had that in a Tourney before you Seth and it really didn't work.

I was reading about tourney's on Wikipedia today, and I discovered that the joust was never the main event, which is contrary to what I always thought. The melees were the main event.

Yea but we like the Joust more as its more fun, Its hard to enjoy the Melee in this as Smith just writes a big Scene.

Yeah the Melee's haven't really worked too well on the board yet. The "hold the fort" scene in Casterly Rock tourney was probably the best one so far.

Sounds brill, Tall!
And welcome Cedric! (And don't listen to Tallahar, the Lannisters rock! Except when they're trying to kill their family... that we didn't appreciate...)
