The men nod in unison, and cackle. "Lord Lannister is always looking for guests to join him for only one night." One turns while the other looks at the group. The stationary one continues, "If milday would like to speak to the Lord this evening she may follow Rochester to his chambers." He motions to the man re-entering the keep. "If she wishes to wait til the morning she may come with her men and me into the stables and then I will show her to her chamber."

Rochester stepped forward and opened the door, and she found herself entering a room with a large dining table that lay unadorned. On the far side washing himself in a stone basin was Cedric Lannister. He looked up and smiled at the woman, moving around the table he bowed, his long golden hair circling his head like a halo. "Welcome to the Rock, Marianne."
