"A pleasure to see you again, Lady Allyria. I hope thing has been well since we last met?" Howland said.

"Splendid, milord Howland. Though I've been dreadfully bored. Tyberion keeps on running off, leaving me all by my lonesome, reading through what books I can find. The city can be so uneventful, and we can't leave until the king does."

Petra rolled her eyes, "Let us eat. The longer we wait the cooler this food will become." She looked at Pyke and shook her head, "Don't you just hate the dithering about? It takes eons for our class to get anything done."

"I thought it was our prerogative to tarry, should we so desire. The peasants do our rushing for us." Tyberion answers.

Wulf grunts, "patience is not my strong suit either."
He looks at Brynden, "I'm afraid if you keep this lady waiting any longer for food she's like to leave and see if she can't be satisfied elsewhere. Which would be... unfortunate." He grins.

Glancing at Tyberion, Petra purrs, "Well Lord Tyberian, rushing like a peasant does not make one a peasant. And if we do not eat soon, I will need to sate my appetite elsewhere."

"What kind of books did you read?"

"That is so," Howland said scowling a bit at the thought of being unable to leave King's Landing. "What kind of books did you read?" "Mainly dreary histories. But there is one I have been enjoying, the memoirs of Lord Tyrion the Imp, who reigned some two hundred years ago, just after the Baratheons came to the throne. It's so very funny! Not to mention full of writings not fit for a lady. They say the septons managed to edit, or burn, most of the copies, but the original is in the Rock, and several faithful versions have been illuminated over the years. It's a very well-illustrated version, that I have." Allyria answers, her eyes twinkling.

Taking Pyke's hand Petra begins to nibble on the back of it. She flutters her eyelashes at him, "The hunger has grown so great I am contemplating cannibalism." Glancing back to Brynden she asked, "Is my son about? Has he learned how to handle a blade yet?"

Though I wonder what your teachers would say if they found out you had read such a book," Howland said.

Petra studied Wolf but addressed Brynden with a question, "He has rooms in this manner correct? I have been missing two of my father's daggers since the lad left my city for your service, and he insists in all of his letters that he does not have them, but I have my matronly suspicions."

Blair leaned over to Howland. "Have you ever seen a Myrish far-eyes, cousin?" she asked with a smile. "In Myr they use them to gaze at the stars, or see far places on the earth. We have one on our terrace - Brynden's squire uses it to learn astronomy, but my husband likes it too. Perhaps you should take Lady Allyria up to the terrace and show her the stars." "Indeed I have, I spent some of my spare time in Oldtown to use these devices," Howland replied. "Would you care to look at the stars later on Lady Allyria?" Prince Selwyn looked at the other boy with interest. He had expected to be bored at this party - apparently Uncle Brynden's squire was not here, as he'd hoped - but it turned out that he might have some company after all. "Well met, Patrek," Selwyn said. "I am Selwyn. How old are you?" "I'm six," Patrek said proudly swelling up his chest. "How old are you?" Patrek asked.

Petra smiled and stood, "Thank you, Lord Royce." Leaning forward she planted a kiss on Wulf's cheek and whipshered into his ear, "I shall return, shortly." She sidled away smoothly.

Allyria bats her eyes at Howland. "I would just love to, Howland. So long as the stars don't distract you too much."

"Ten" said Selwyn, a bit disappointed. But he thought about the opportunities that this small boy would provide. "We should play a game," he declared. "You can be a crannogman, and I'll be a Stark, and we'll fight over the swamplands. Crannogmen are smaller than other men, but I will give you the advantage of knowing the swamp better than I do." Patrek nodded his head slowly, "Allright, what would the swamp be?" Allyria bats her eyes at Howland. "I would just love to, Howland. So long as the stars don't distract you too much." Howland smiled, "I do not think that will be a problem".
