she leaned in, and spoke as softly as a whisper, "Than why does your grace wish to usher me away to the darkness so soon?" She gave a sly wink. "I am a free spirit, your grace. But not THAT free." Still her fingers intertwined with his and she did not pull away. "The ample bosom, the pale skin, the warm smile. These are all the reasons a man needs." He pulled her close so she could feel his beard against her chin, "And few woman walk away from me. For quite a few more reasons then the crown."

"The note which Lady Jane received informed her that her sister died of the bloody flux. True, as it happens, very sad, Lady Lysa was a lovely girl. Ser Burke's note informed him that Lady Esmeralla was not a maiden when they had wed about six weeks ago, as he has long suspected, and in fact had paid good coin to discover the truth about. And I suspected Ser Horace would return to Lady Esmeralla instead of his crying wife because i believed he would interpret Ser Burke's action as his having knowledge of the affair. Ser Horace hopes that with Ser Burke dead in a duel, he will not be able to tell Lady Jane what Horace and Esmeralla were up to. Thus insuring he stays married to his sweet wife, and her large purse."

Lady Leanna says earnestly, "I would say in the world, but I have never been away from Westeros, so you would think I was exaggerating." She says, as she nuzzles her cheek against his beard. "I fear, I must confess milord. I am still with my maiden head. Ser Archibald is a kind man, but on the eve of our wedding... he could not perform." She looked down almost shyly.

Archibald smiled, "They are the only creature worth studying, for they continue to amaze. And to disappoint. Who has recently disappointed you my dear?"

"So you are married?" The King smiles, "Well sweetling, I have never had that particular problem. And the day I do will be my last day on this dirt." His large finger's stroked her cheek, "And I have heard there are two men more handsome then me, but both are weaklings, and one has a thing for boys. So you can do no better."

I can see why that would be appealing, for such a powerful man as yourself, but what of me? Am I to die alone? Never knowing another lover? For who could follow after you and satisfy me?"

Archibald smiled, "They are the only creature worth studying, for they continue to amaze. And to disappoint. Who has recently disappointed you my dear?" Blair felt her face flush. "Oh, just people," she muttered, cursing her loose tongue. Archibald tut-tutted her and clicked his cane against the floor, "Now Lady Blair, how can we possibly review this scene and make the proper diagnosis if we are not provided with an accurate assessment? How can this humble knight protect you, if I don't know what other pieces are on the board?"

Archibald tugged on his beard, and turned back to his cyvasse board, and began setting up the pieces, and playing by himself.

The King chuckled, and leaned back, "I am a fool, and I do fuck anything that moves." He smiled, "But I am not so foolish to be taken in be such a simple ruse. If I were, I would be committed to just one mistress. You are not the first to attempt to trap me in such a manner, and not the first to not succeed." His hand traced down to her breasts and he added, "Most usual wait until they have a deeper hook into me, but it seems like you are a maiden in more then one way." He winked.

The young lord looks at him with a sort of burning curiosity. "When you march into battle and your men pray to their gods, do you scold them or do you allow them their attempts at bolstering their courage?"

Grab them by the shoulders and shake out the Seven." Yancey snorted.

"Well, if I may be so crass to mention it, you take their gods from them everytime you discard them. You're the King's Hand, sire, the closest thing to the gods' will in their eyes without wearing a crown."

"I have absolutely no desire to continue this conversation." Yancey replied, "Please take a small walk."

He bowed. "I did not mean to irritate, your grace. Its just a thing that had always drawn the attention of a young man with a very conflicted education. I was taught to respect the gods and then I was taught there was no sacred teaching that should sway one from strengthening his house. I thought perhaps you might be someone whom I could relate to. I apologize for the intrusion, my lord. I will be more discrete with my curiosity in the future." He then turned to walk away.

"I've spoken with Howland," Tyberion answers, "Seems a fine sort." Allyria just smiles and blushes faintly, doing her best to maintain eye contact with no one.
