I've just hopped onto the Vale bandwagon (along with Belmore, so it seems). Do we have any new direction after the war with Rodrick failed?

Am I wrong in understanding that we are the only two left? Or are the others still around?

Isn't Howland around? And Aranya, too, except on some sort of LOA?

I haven't seen Aranya around in ages, and I have no clue about Howland.

So if we are the only Valesmen left...what now? Where do we go from here?

Good question. I am open to ideas. What are your plans?

I see Owen as a pragmatist, and our best first option is swearing (and somehow subsequently proving) our allegiance to Rodrick. I suggest we might even pal around with him...or maybe just Owen will. How old is Edwyn?/what is he like?

Edwyn is 31, and my sign up sheet alludes to a bit of his personality (particularly the rep. part). He disliked Rodrick immensely, for all the obvious reasons, but doesn't like the idea of open rebellion against him. Belmore considers himself a scholarly man, and what makes sense to him is to lie low until things become more apparent. He is against paling around with the king, though by all means go ahead.

Mhmm. Owen isn't particularly loyal to Rodrick, but then again he's not particularly loyal to anything but himself. That's not to say he's a lawless or traitorous...just couldn't give a shit about whose running Westeros right now--doesn't think it really effects him. Maybe he and Edwyn can form some sort of alliance? I suppose it would be an unlikely one I guess.

It could be worth a shot. Your call. I do not think that Edwyn would know much about you, though I think my third might.

Perhaps. Who is your third?

Gotcha. Yeah it's possible that they could be allies of some sort. How would they meet and what would make them friends?

Agreed, Howland will focus on getting a wife and rebuilding Runestone. I thought of having Brandon sign up for master of whispers. I'll need something for him to do.
I think Howland will marry a Vale woman.

Hey boys. I'm back, kinda sorta, but will not be on very often for the next two weeks because we are heading into high gear finals mode and I'm about to get my ass kicked by a couple of exams. Anyway, I will play Selyse less because of RL busy-ness. Oh, and her older three daughters are alive. That should probably be public knowledge by now. Um, she is always going to be ready to hold an audience from a Vale person, and generally ready to hear what they have to say. Brynden is Master of Laws, and has a Vale girl for a wife, so he's maintaining his Vale ties. I think that, in the absence of a coming apocalyptic war, the main goal of the Vale should be security and stability. That's always been its strength. No risky moves, no forays into foreign territory, etc. That's my take on it, anyway. Anyone agree/disagree? Selyse, would you Brynden be able to give Owen some sort of deputy position when he becomes Master of Laws? Is 'Commander of the Goldcloaks' available?
