A feast is now being thrown in the parade ground, open to all well wishers in celebration of Ser Steffen Lannister and Princess Daena Targaryen's wedding. Steffen and his new bride circulate amongst the crowd.

The Merry Widow was back, elegant, sleek, and poised. She circulated at the wedding party, keeping a careful eye on her interpreters. The pose held even when she greeted Ser Steffen (or was it Lord now?) and the lovely Daena, last seen in the godforsaken hospital in the Casterly Rock ballroom. Steffen was still thin but had color in his cheeks again, and Daena looked radiant.
"Delighted to see you both in happier circumstances," she said, kissing both on their cheeks. "Many congratulations to both of you."

Prince Maerys attended the celebration for his niece, wearing the typical red and black scarves he generally wore.

Lilith greeted Prince Maerys with her best Valyrian diction in place. She had heard about the scene with Callen.
"How have you found King's Landing?" she asked.

"I've found it cold, my lady." Maerys replied simply.

A common Valyrian reply, thought Lady Lilith, very reptilian were the Targs.
She enquired whether the Prince had made use yet of the hot spring baths available, so refreshing.

The Targaryen Prince inquired whether the lady had made use of the brothels available, yet.

Lady Lilith kept her smile firmly affixed. What an utter snake Maerys was.
"No your majesty, but I hear the ladies of Kings Landing are well armed. Who knows who might molest them in an unwarranted manner."

"Ah, what you speak of reminds me of stories of your origin."

Interesting, she thought, either this man had unnaturally good sources about her dear lady mother or he was just pathologically rude. She reckoned it was the second and set to enjoy herself.
"My mother at least looked outside her siblings for satisfaction."

Lilith wasn't sure whether the snake before her blinked or not but she noticed one of the Targaryen ladies hailing her from across the ballroom.
"You must excuse me, such a pleasure chatting, your majesty."

"Not so quickly, Lady Lilith. I won't have you attempt to damage my reputation so, and not make amends. You know nothing of relationships or love for that matter."

Lady Serena Lannister enters the wearing an intense Scarlet gown that accentuates her stern beauty. Her long black hair is pulled back exposing her long regal neck. She pauses long enough for the attendant to announce her presence and then glides into the parade ground.
Serena is followed by her two daughters. Elena looks around distractedly, rubbing ink-stained fingers together. Benedicta trails behind her mother trying to act exactly as her mother.
Behind them three Lannister men follow along behind the women. Ser Piers Bettley, dressed in green today, leans forward and whispers a joke into Elena's ear and laughs heartily with her. Next to him stood Ser Timm Vikary, looking vaguely uncomfortable in shiny new dress. And lastly the newly raised Lord Jayson Plumm who also laughs at Piers joke.
As the merge into the crowd the group separates into several small groups. Piers separates and walks toward Lilith Royce. Serena wanders about the room searching for someone worth talking to, she seems disappointed. Benedicta finds a group of other children and begins to talk to them, Ser Timm Vikary follows along behind staring longingly at every servant with a wine glass. Elena retreats to a corner, Lord Plumm follows and chats with her, occasionally they laugh.

So the snake that was Maerys could blink. And of course Piers, bless his rotten heart, was gliding this way as well. She wasn't sure how she weave her way through this thorn field but that wouldn't stop her from trying.
"Your majesty is perhaps not familiar with Westerosi word plays upon family relationships. While not typical ballroom conversation, comments about houses of ill repute are a usual way of entering into such an exchange. Forgive me if I have offended you, it was all in fun of course."
The dissonance between this nasty little man with his scarves lecturing her about love and the memory of 50,000 dead because of his family's war and the efforts it took to steal just a few away from the jaws of death, made her almost naseous. Piers, for all his darkness, felt like a beacon of light compared to Maerys.
"Ser Piers," she said, "Have you had the privilege yet of meeting his majesty, Prince Maerys?"

"I have not had the honor, though I did have the pleasure of meeting his most Royal brother." Bowing with a flourish, "Prince it is good to see you in your natural surroundings." he waves about the parade ground. "I would wager that being back in these hallowed chambers has brought a bright, flaming light into your life." Piers smile slanted in a pleasantly ironic way.
