Ser Cayne Mooton sits on a chair in the tower, looking out a window over the city. He wears a frown and waits. Ser Bertram Selmy sits on the other side of the room. The two do not speak.

Ser Galahad enters, patting off some dust from the yard. "Hello, Brothers."

Bertram smiles warmly as Galahad enters. "It is good to see you still in one piece, Galahad. We've lost so many brothers lately, it seems."
Cayne grunts.

"The Seven smile upon me still," Galahad says, smiling back. "Ser Peregrin's death, along with our other brothers saddens me greatly, though our cause was seen as just, so their deaths were not in vain. How do you both fare?"

"Well enough," Selmy says. "But it's past time we filled our ranks out again."
"Shadd won't admit it, but he doesn't have a clue who to ask," Cayne says, shaking his head.
Bertram sighs. "But we don't either. Do you have any suggestions?"

"Is Ser Massey not part of his grace's circle of friends?" Galahad say, tilting his head. "There are not many who remained loyal to his grace that are worthy of the titles. Though... there are not many worth of the cloaks as it is... Ser Evander Storm, and Ser Grant Connington, Ser Baxter Bridges... they have reputation, but were on the other side of this rebellion.
Lord Derrick Rowan, however... I hear he was a man of note. A man loyal to his grace. Though he owns the title of a Lord..."

"Word is Rodrick has bigger plans than a white cloak for Danton," Mooton says. "Kijo and Ipithius as well. Connington and Storm were still on the run, last I heard, and I doubt any man is like to give up a lordship for a white cloak. Perhaps this Bridges fellow, but rewarding rebels seems like a poor policy to me."

"Any man I know is not a man the King would consider in anycase," Galahad said, almost dismissively. "Where is the Lord Commander, anyways?" Galahad said, his eyes narrowing slightly for a moment.

Bertram sighs. "Perhaps you are right, Galahad, but we are in need of good men. The king might consider it should the request be presented in the right way. As for the Lord Commander..." Selmy frowns.
Cayne begins to laugh.
"Our vows are not a laughing matter, Ser Cayne," Bertram says with strict formality, his face beginning to color.

"I believe this farce has gone on long enough!" Galahad said firmly, his voice rising for the first time since he could remember. His brothers would have known him as soft spoken, his voice no higher than a whisper oft times.
"We are not foes, and we are not adversaries! This has gone on for too long, and I shall bear it no longer. For too long we have been a shield, cracked and divided," he said, his eyes narrowing. "What ill favour we wish for any of us must be put to the side."

Cayne smirks. "And when will you be making amends with Shadd, Galahad?"

"I hold no grudge against our Lord Commander. He did as he saw fit, and thinking ill of the man will work to no end."

"If you can convince him to think the same way, I'll give you a pile of gold dragons." Cayne leans back and yawns. "I don't think you're so bad, but Shadd hates your guts, and I doubt that's likely to change soon."

"There are only the four of us left. I don't have time to hold ill thoughts for Trant."

Cayne shrugs, not looking very convinced. "If you say so."
