"Red? I think blue would go better with your complexion. And yes very soon, it shall be a grand ceremony. If you need a chaperon I am marching my men back soon, any are welcome to travel with me." Ser Piers replied

"Perhaps red for you then. It would do wonders to hide the inevitable stains."
"He knows what I'm talking about" said the Braavosi as he pointed at Ser Plumm, and clapped Ser Piers on the back. "I would be honored to accompany you and your fine companions."

"Wait... was that a thinly veiled threat, or a comment on my eating habits?" Piers studied the plum in his hand, and then his shirt. Discovering nothing in disarray he fives at the braavosi with a questioning look.

"I do not threaten sirrah. I jest, I joke, I jape, but never threaten. I was merely commenting on the vast amounts of wine that we will both drink durring the wedding. Some will probably slosh on your clothes, probably from my goblet. Of course, if you wish to take my harmless comment as threat, well, that's your perogative."

Laughing Ser Piers continued, "I see. I jest myself sometimes."

"Ill bet you do," said the Braavosi with a knowing look. "I'll bet you do."

When Lilith returned to the manor that evening, a messenger in black and red was waiting for her. She read the message, gathered her few possessions and left with him.
Later a messenger delivered a note in simple code was delivered to Ser Piers,
Good ser,
I have been called back to my silks in service to our august King Aegon, ninth of the name.
Until the wedding festivities...
LR
Enclosed in the note was a silken square, embroidered in a corner were two blue enamelled daggers tumbling. They were done with a few vivid stiches, three beetles standing out in relief against the handles.

OOC: It's fine, Lilith. I'll just pick it up from Sarane approaching the manor. IC: She had come too far to turn back now. Pulling her hood farther forward so that the shadows could aid her disguise, "Elia" approached a servant's entrance. She was tempted to turn and flee now, but she ignored the thudding of her heart and knocked, her hands returning to her cloak. By all outward appearances, she seemed calm.

Ser Jayson Plumm and nine other Lannister knights trot out of the stables. Before turning down the street, he sees the women knocking on the door. Giving the hold motion, he dismounts and walks up the street to the door.
Bowing as deeply as he would to a queen, he says in a oddly high pitched voice, "Madam, the house is vacant. We are the last too leave. There is a wedding in Casterly Rock. Are you looking for the company escorting guests there? There is still time to make it if you wish?" He coughed horsely, he did not like to talk.

"Vacant?" she repeated, aghast. Had she come too late? Would she be risking too much to ride to Casterly Rock? "I'm sorry to hear that, ser. I'm Elia Storm," she gave a quick bob of a curtsey. "I'm to deliver a message for Ser Zachary Lannister. Is he at Casterly Rock now?"

Ser Plumm raised a gauntleted hand to his lengthy mustache. "I am sorry to fail Madam. But I do not know where Ser Zachary is at the present time. I have not heard of him being in King's Landing for quite some time. If you pressed me I would say he is at Casterly Rock for the wedding, but I can not know for sure." He bowed with deep regret.

Ser Piers Bettley and Ser Timm Vikary arrive in King's Landing with a small force of about twenty knights. Making there way to the Goldsmith's Manor, they start to settle in. All but Piers who turns and rides out almost immediately.
