It had taken weeks, but they where finally ready. His spies among Brynden's army where placed in the Eyrie, the keeps Sky, Stone and Snow and they were ready for their job. It was a simple sabotage, though a bit more complex since it would have to happen at near the same time as Brandon himself sat fire to the granary at the Gates of the Moon. Gates of the Moon had the most space for food stuffs since it didn't have the limit of being in the mountain, and it was through the Gates that the food arrived in the keeps up till the Eyrie. Brynden had forced it on himself, that fool man siding against family for Rodrick. His sister would be safe and so would his nieces and nephews if he had any brain, though Brandon sometimes doubted that... it was that one time that Brynden wanted to attack the Sealord when Aranya was imprisoned. But ah he had diverged slightly from his path, where was he.
It was things like this that made Brandon's fire burn white. The carefull planning, and seeing the results of his hard work bloom, flames was involved too and that was a bonus. He rather liked fire, albeit being burnt in Hellstone a painful memory both from the emotional damage and the physical. But he had prevailed had he not? And now he was here in the Gates of the Moon yet again, he knew the place like the back of his hand... well almost..he had sketches drawn on the back of his hand so he supposed it was true enough.
This wasn't the way it was against the mercenaries, or he'd poison the water etc. He did not want to kill fellow valemen but he supposed a few of them dead was better than thousands. Brandon was nothing if not a patriot, the business with the mercenaries certainly prooved that.
Brandon dressed as a guard walked through the shadows of the stout castle. He remembered doing this when the King and Lord Odhar Royce was present, at that time the king had to be protected against assassins and it was much simpler now anyway. He made his way to the granary when the bells suddenly started to ring up in the mountains. Guards awoke and rushed to the battlements to see what the cause was. Brandon damn well knew what had happened, some fools had started the fire to early. Brandon ran to the granary, unfortunatly there was a guard present.
Brandon walked up to the man as the man put a hand at the hilt of the sword. "At ease, guard," Brandon said in a commanding voice probably confusing him. The guard's hand did not waver and so Brandon put his hand on top of the man's hand in a firm grip. The guard dried to draw his sword but the Royce's grip was too strong and made it difficult for him. Then Brandon crushed the man's windpipe with a hardblow to the guard's troat. Brandon grimaced a bit, though he easily stepped over the man's body into the granary. A lantern was pushed down to the ground though the fire spread too much too fast for it to be a regular fire. Bells started ringing at the Gates of the Moons too and Brandon found it prudent to slip out of the castle.
Results
Portions of the granaries at the Gates of the Moon, Sky, and Snow are set on fire before the armies attempting to besiege the Gates of the Moon arrives. The largest granary at the Eyrie and the smaller granary at Stone are untouched.
Brandon increase hand to hand fighting to expert
Brandon increase espionage closer to grand master.
