King Gariss snuck in through the secret passageways, fifty men behind them. Most were small men; the weaker men of Cerwyn's army. But they would need them, and Gariss could use them.
The emerged into the same room he disappeared from. Lord Reed's body was not there, as he knew it would not be. He had some of the loyal men behind care for Reed's remains, and his spear.
However, he could not stand by and watch this, as they had busniess to take care of. Already Lord Cerwyn laid siege upon the weaker side of Moat Cailin.
Zach lead the ambush on the guards holding the prisoners. Ice cut through at least fifteen men alone as they swiftly cut through the guards of the prisoners.
Gariss rallied his men with quick words, before rushing them off to battle against the Wolfsbane. As their backs were turned, busy with Lord Cerwyn, Lord Gariss and Benn Umber forced themselves upon their enemy, jumping in and swinging. Wolfsbane, however, caught them halfway through and met them equally.
"Second unit! To the flank!" Gariss yelled, and his men leaped into it.
They matched off, and Stark lost as many men as Wolfsbane, who struck down a man before Umber jumped upon him, sending him crashing. Stark yelled a few more adjustment orders before jumping into the thick of it himself.
He ducked a sword swing and brought his own up into the man's belly, spilling his innards on the ground before continuing on toward the rest of his enemy. He cut left and right, Ice shimmering through the air while both dismembering and ending men.
Though despite his own success, his men began to fail, as Wolfsbane's men began to turn and fight the easier targert. Lord Cerwyn was performing admirably, getting men over the near undefended walls, and Karyl grinned, before being put to an end from Umber, who had knocked him down.
Gariss turned and a man who seemed to be second in command rose to the moment, yelling out to the Rickon loyalists to follow him. He didn't get past three words, as a savage blow from Ice sent his head from his shoulders.
The battle was over. The loyalists threw down their arms, and were gathered together, as the gates were opened to Lord Cerwyn's army.
As the traitors were lined, Gariss had them tied and shackled, kneeling before him. Seventy lined up, fresh after the battle and Gariss approached them all one by one. To each one, he looked in the eyes and he recited:
"What are your last words?"
He listened to some. Some begged; some cursed, some spit. To all he replied.
"You are traitors. Traitors to the Old Gods, traitors to your land, and traitors to your king. In the eyes of the Old Gods, your fate has been decided.
I, King Gariss Stark of the North, first of his name, and deemed worthy by the Old Gods, condemn you to death."
He waited only a second longer before putting them to the sword, all the same. A strike through the heart.
