*************
On the road that leads from Riverun to Casterly Rock, Lefford camps with the troops loyal to him. They watch the east constantly, day and night, waiting...

The cavalry were making hard time around the penninsula, towards where his scouts had said Lord Lefford was encamped. As they rode, Harold had time to muse. Now that those idiots Arlan and Philip are out of the way.... They had No approved, they had denied vehementaly to the plan, they had gone so far as to threaten Harold's plan. And they had been "cavorting" with the Ironborn, and suffered a traitor's death demanded by the fearful townspeople. Those letters. Masterful work. I'll have to give the forger a special reward for that... If he survives the dungeons of course.
A cry from up ahead, Lord Lefford's banner had been spotted. With a groan, as his rear was growing soarer by the minute, he gave a shout, urging his horse forwards, leading th eprocession behind him.

Lefford marches out of his tent, gripping his sword. The older lord is braced for the final deed, but slowly releases his sword as he watches Kenning approach.

Ser Lyn Payne arrives to Lord Leffords camp with his seventy men. Lyn asks to see lord Lefford.

Before Lyn can get a proper answer, Martyn Lefford himself arrives. "Ser Lyn Payne? Nevermind, I'm sure I know why you'cve come." He kleads the knight inside without really looking at him. He marches into his solar, and yells at his servants to bring him Ser Rhyin Myatt and Ser Dickon Brax immediately.

Ser Rhyin Myatt enters Lefford's solar. A few of his guards wait outside.
"And what do you want, Martyn?" he queries.

"I take it you haven't heard the new, then. Cedric has knelt! The bastard sold us to Rodrick without even fighting!!"

Myatt smiles weakly. "I had heard. It is for the best, I suppose. I doubt Rodrick will spare him."

"This isn't over... we have to form a plan, a council, gather the Lannisters. If Cedric kneels without a fight, that's fine but we cannot allow good, honest Westermen to fall in line like... like sheep!"
He finds a map and lays it on the table. "We will not have our country spoken for by a coward. Where is Tyberion?"

Myatt blinks, his mouth hanging agape. "This is over, Martyn. Cedric has knelt. Prester and the army have surrendered as well. There is nothing to gain by fighting and much to lose."

Brushing the last of the dust from his overcloak, Kenning dismounts, and along with a band of his knights, along with several of the still loyal family, enters Lord Lefford's solar, careful to say quiet as the Lord and Ser Myatt spoke.

He scribbles on a piece of paper. "Cedric can suck Rodrick's cock or sign a treaty in blood in blood, it matters not. The war may be over, but we're not finished... if this is going to end, it will not end in the black cells, but at Casterly Rock." He delivers the paper to his maester. "I want that on every tavern and keep in the Westerlands."
Turning to Kenning, Payne, and Myatt... "The war of conquest is over... the war of independance has just begun. I'll build a new army if I have to. Loyalists, mercenaries, foreigners, whatever it takes." He pointed at each one in turn. " None of you will stop me, because in your hearts, you know what I'm doing is just. If we surrender, it will be at the bargaining table, not in the black cells."

Rhyin Myatt watches while Martyn scribbles away. "What are you doing? You fool! Cease at once."
He turns towards Payne and Kenning and throws his hands up into the air. "You cannot believe this madman's rambling. Talk some sense into him or I will see him arrested, Westerlands unity be damned."

He merely snorted. "Arrested? And delivered to who? Cedric? Rodrick? I outrank you... your authority in this house ended the moment Cedric gave up his. You are no longer a general, but I am still the Lord of the Golden Tooth, the queen's father, and the grandfather of three royal children. I'd be more careful how you speak to me, Ser Rhyin."
Speaking to Kenning and Payne, "So what can I do for my guests?"

"If you serve me a position and give me some power to drink, I will be very happy. I was taking care of some bandits on the roads, when I found out about Cedric's stupidity. The only power close to me I could think of was you, my lord."
