Ser Samuel Tarly roams Horn Hill, looking for Lord Varner, or better yet, the elusive Flea, seeking his counsel.

Master Flea of Shallowgrave was an impossible man to be found if he didn't wish to be found, but he appeared after a short while in the costume of a begging brother.
"Ser Samuel, to what do I owe the pleasure?" He asked, not overly formally.

Samuel paused before speaking, slightly intimidated by the man who knew so much, and had done so many great deeds. "I suppose I ought to just come out and say it," he mumbled, more to himself than to Flea. "While I was in the Mander on Lord Justin's orders," the knight said, "it occurred to me that Greycopse is but a few leagues north of here. Perhaps this is mere aravice than anything else, but I want the sword Treason so that I can present it to my father and perhaps restore my family's blade, Heartsbane, of old. I do not wish to simply ride into Greycopse and kill Aerie Falgrave and her children to take the blade, so I wondered if you might be able to assist me in any way, Master Flea."

"Ser Samuel I appreciate what you are striving for, but it seems to me that now is not the time to be expending such efforts on behalf of the sword. If you were devising an operation which won us ten thousand swords, than mayhaps."

"I know," he said, smiling sheepishly, "that's why I didn't bring it up to Lord Hightower or Loren. I just really want it," he added with a chuckle. "On another note I was wondering if we might put our heads together to devise away to remove Lord Rowan from command, before our army crosses swords with the flowers. He seems to be the greatest threat against us, and would greatly weaken the Mander's strength and desire to fight."

"Aye, that's true enough. Perhaps something is in the works?" Flea smiled, " But what would you recommend."

"Assassinations are not my particular area of expertise, although I would think if we could infiltrate men into their army, they could try to get close enough to either take a shot at him. I imagine that he would be kept well guarded, as any competent general would, but opportunities should present themselves if men are patiently in place." Watching Flea's face as he spoke, Samuel smiled slightly, and added, "you've already got men in place, waiting, haven't you, Master Flea? I'm sure any idea I can come up with right now, you probably thought of and acted on a fortnight ago."

"No comment." Flea said but he smiled darkly.

"I will leave you to your duties, Master Flea. May the Crone light your way, and the Stranger take your enemies," the knight said. He bowed to the shadowy man, and turned to return to the feast that was still continuing in the Great Hall.

Flea laughed, "I take my own enemies, and split souls with the Stranger, 70-30."
