Grey clouds covered the sky, a light drizzle was falling from them, and that along with the cold that had swept in during the night made the camp a very damp and dull place to be.
Cregan and his men had travelled in haste after the battle against the group of Horned Wolf's that had tried to overcome them. They had now arrived to the place where they had been ordered, and was no awaiting the other bands to join them.
They had been here for two days straight, and there had been no sign of either enemy troops or allies, which struck Cregan as a bit odd, but he was satisfied as long as he didn't have to fight another group of Horned Wolf's.
Cregan walked through the camp, looking at the toll of just sitting around and waiting took on the morale of the men, especially in this kind of weather.
He needed to raise the morale or things would go bad, if they were forced to fight.

Hamish kneeled and touched the horse feces, and felt that it was still hot. The horseman could not be more than an half-hour away.
He had found the tracks, while scouting for something to hunt, and instead of reporting back, he had decided to follow the tracks, it was one man after all. The man seemed to be headed towards the camp, and Hamish wanted to find out if it was a outrider from one of the Horned Wolf's men, or if the man belonged to some of the troops that Lord Cregan had been waiting for.
He searched the ground, and he found the horse tracks fairly easy, the man didn't seem too eager to hide where he was going. Hamish followed the tracks for almost an hour, before he got lucky.

Cregan met the hit from the sword with his shield, deflecting it to his right, and followed it with another attack with his warhammer. His opponent, a young man from House Lake, had won the competition that Cregan had arrenged for the men, in hopes to build up their mood, and from the cheers, he was succeding. This friendly competition had been going on for a while, there were many men that had volunteered to fight against each other in hopes that they would get to fight Cregan, and if they defeated him, the winner would earn a night of sleep inside the warm tent which Cregan had arranged, while Cregan would sleep amongst the men in the bitter cold.
The young warrior in front of him, met the hammer's blow with his shield, and then side-stepped in hopes of finding Cregan of guard, but Cregan had inticipated the movement, and had already moved out of the way.

Hamish just barely managed to roll away from the attack that came from his left. The man that Hamish had been following had managed to alude him, and Hamish found that he was in trouble, as this man could really handle the weapon he held in his hand.
Hamish had for the last few minutes managed to avoid or deflect the attacks from the man, without being able to gain a upper hand. The man in front of him was a trained warrior.
“Who are you?” the man said and circled, trying to find a opening. “Why were you following me?”
Not waiting for an answer the man attacked, and once again Hamish just barely managed to deflect the man's attack, by meeting the attack with the handle of the spear, and deflecting the blow to the left while Hamish moved to the right.
They circled each other again.

Cregan watched as Hamish walked toward him, along with a man bearing the colors of House Reed. Cregan had a black eye, and a few bruises in his face from his fight against the Lakeman, and was about to settle in for the night, out among the men, when the news travelled through the camp.
“Hamish, who is this?”
Hamish was about to answer, but the man answered before.
“You are to come down to Moat Cailin, my master Olander will face Rickon in single combat. And Rickon has requested your presence or he will not fight.”
Cregan and the messenger spoke in private after that, and after a few hours, the camp is uprooted and heading south.
