Lord Howland and retinue pass Redfort on their way to Wickenden. An envoy is sent to the keep requesting Lord Redfort's presence.

The envoy snorted, 'You are an even worse liar than your lord' he thought. The Envoy had heard the annoucement. "If you have means to contact your lord, and he shouldn't be far if he's hunting the wildlings, the Conclave is to be held halfway between Wickenden and Redfort. Every lord is granted safe passage by Lord Howland Royce, so the lords doesn't need to bring more than ten men at arms each."

After a small conversation with Lord Royce the envoy returns, "the lords presume too much, should the lords and landed knights not wish to hear Lord Brynden's lies they shall not be commanded to do so. The conclave will be held here".
