Oakheart does not attack. Instead five hundred Mander men begin blocking the road North. Throwing up lose fortifications. While the bulk of the Force begins to move North and away from contact.

Craych leaves the fort and pursues Oakheart's force.

Tyrell's men attack, but under the brillant leadership of Ser Ulysess the rear guard not only holds, but turns back the first assualt.
At the first sound of combat the other forces of Oakheart turn and begin to charge back toward combat. They split and approach down either sides of the road.

Lord Tyrell orders two defensive screens to either side of the road, but the assault on his left flank is only a feint the true attack is all on the right flank. Tyrell's right flank collapses and soon he is immersed in battle with Ser Kueryn Dunn. As Tyrell fights for his life, Ser Irwyn Oakheart knocks the Lord from his horse.
Lord Craych Tyrell is captured alive, ending the battle. His forces retreat in confusion as he falls.

Lord Craych Tyrell captured by Lord Winister Oakheart
