Lord Bellic Cordwayner declares himself opposed to Lord Hightower's rebellion. He calls up 200 of his own men and barricades himself inside of Hamerhal.
There are rumors through the Reach that other families are unhappy, but the dark whispers of Flea's dealings, and the large number of troops loyal to Hightower keep them quiet.
Lord Winister Oakheart upon hearing of Hightower's rebellion immediately calls up his men and begins marching south. Men coming streaming across the Mander to support their King, and Lord in the war to kill the Far Reachmen. Lord Oakheart on his own initiative begins leading 2000 men to war.
The Castellan of Seagard calls up two thousand men in Lord Mallister's name. They prepare eagerly to war with the Iron born.
Lord Flynn Errol calls up his own troops and marches to Strorm's End. Other Lords follow his example, and they immediately arrest and imprison Ser William Dondarrion; his five hundred men are disarmed and sent home.
Lord Xavier Tarth summons up two hundred men, but refuses to fight. Instead he sends out invitation to both sides to come to the Sapphire Island to discuss and work out the difficulties. He begs all the lords to lay down their weapons, there is no need for a civil war. Many of the Stormlands listen to his pleas.
There is much talking in the Vale. Many lords want vengeance on the King for Roland's murder, but many also are concerned about warring against a Queen closely related to the Vale. In the end they all look to Runestone, even if they occasionally glance at the Eyrie.
Dorne hisses but remains apparently calm watching the two rebel powers on its borders.
The Reavers of the Iron Islands start sharpening their axes.
The West continues along as it has, and Lord Lannister's smile can be felt leagues away.
The North looks south with weary heads.
In King's Landing Lord Dondarrion flees moments before Ser Peregrine Allyrion and Ser Stafford Mallister are able to arrest him. Mallister takes command of the city.
When the King is given the notice, he laughs loudly thinking it some jest. When he is convinced that it is truth, he kills the messenger with one strong backhanded blow of his hand. Then organizes his men. Quickly they overrun the small Stormland contingent amongst them, and every Stormlander who will not swear to their King are beheaded. Eamon Dondarrion is left hanging from a tree with a Traitor sign nailed into his rib cage.
The King makes toward Duskendale calling forth his troops. 8,000 Crownlands, Riverlands, Stormlands and Mander men ride to him over the next two months. While he and Smallwood plan.
