"We'll be brought to Horn Hill. It will take a day or two. When you get back to Golden Tooth, use your new maester to keep me abreast of the situation."

"Then I'll need quarters to rest. If word from me stops coming, it means Cedric found a new traitor. He is always finding them, you know... one would almost think he was unpopular..."

"Well that would be unfortunate. Baelor, show Lord Lefford to his quarters. Lord Lefford, you'll naturally forgive me if we don't give you free range of the castle. There is a war on after all."

"Not at all, Lord Hightower, I'm sure we'd hold you prisoner in Casterly Rock too." Lord Lefford is then escorted out.

Lefford does not interrupt the exchange. Nor does he see hide nor hair of anyone from Lys. But when he asks for permission to leave, it is granted, and he is escorted out of Horn Hill, with supplies for his journey back and a pleasant goodbye.

Justin stands, with Lord Cyrus and a handful of his closest guards. "A raven from Oldtown tells me you are the Ambassador to Lys. What do you want?" Ambassador Velari, a tall blonde man with a small forked beard at the end of a suntanned face bowed before Lord Justin. "I bear greetings and salutations to Lord Justin Hightower from Daario Prince of Lys" he said with a marked accent of the Free Cities. "I am Viserio Velari, envoy of the Prince of Lys. We here..." he waved his hand at his two companions. "... are instructed by our lord the Prince of Lys, to meet with those of the Lords Paramounts of Westeros, who have renounced their allegiance to King Rodrick. The city of Lys seeks improved relations with Westeros. MY Prince is hopeful that Lys' friendship with Westeros will be stronger than what it has had in the past."

"If you came to be greeted at court and wined and dined Ambassador, you chose a poor time. Westeros is not friendly even to itself at the moment." Justin said.

"A simple messenger", the young man says. "From the Lord Hand at Nightsong", he adds. "This be my maester, he's necessary fer the meetin'", he says pointing to an older man with greying blonde hair.

"Why's he necessary?" The sergeant replied, staring at the greying man suspiciously.
