The courtyard of Runestone. The most obvious thing in the courtyard is the life sized solid bronze statute of Lord Roland Royce The statute shows Lord Royce ahorse, with an upraised lance. On the base of the statue, written in the Old Language of the First men, and in the common tongue, is the Royce Motto, "We Remember".

Home at last Howland pauses in the courtyard to look at the statue. He seems to straighten up and his chest is filled with pride for his father. Then anger at the King blossomed and he went to the training yard to test his mettle against his uncle, Scot.
