"In other...circumstances I wouldn't. But as it is, were I to refuse such an order after this recent rebellion then I would most likely be staring at the wall of a dungeon, or watching King's Landing dwindle in the distance as I resumed exile. Admitantly the second option would hold some appeal to me...as I'm already tired of this place." Winister finished, his hands helled loosely behind his back.
"There is that....or it is entirely possible that I did it to remove an obstacle to my power in the Mander. It's not for me to decide, nor my inclination to convince of one option or the other."

"You are the master of laws are you not?" Winister asked, "What was the legality in the murder of the Tyrells?" He acted non chalant, pretending to be inspecting a dark spot that had suddenly appeared on the pommel of his short sword.

Winister nodded, "Of course."
He shifted, "In any other case, what would be the sentence for the man who ordered such butchery?"
Before anything could be said, "Do not think I am plotting to have Rodrick punished, it's infeasable in any case, and would be termed an act of rebellion. I'm asking these for my own personal...interests."

"Indeed, my lord Royce." Lyn bowed slightly "I got your letter, lord Brynden, and I have decided to accept this position, if you are still offering it to me."

"I never met him in person, but I know of him and his good-brother, Ser Steffen Lannister. If the Worm taught him half of what he knows then Lord Dudley is a great statesman. I must also tell you that I have a cousin in Braavos, Lady Alayne Payne, who is quite powerful there. I know all of the Sealord's council and of the Sealord." Lyn smiled

"I can sail as soon as you want me to and I can see lord Thatcher right after this meeting. I will also send a letter to Alayne, my cousin."

Darien embraced the two and sat down. "I'm famished, thanks for asking." He surveyed the table. "I find Kings Landing has changed quite a bit."

Darien grunted to himself before starting to eat. "For the better or the worse? That is the question I am having trouble with answering."

A curiously gentle smile spread on Darien's lips. "It certainly seems that part of the Rodrick that threw rocks at my horse has remained." He shrugs. "Of course I don't fault him for that; he was a child. In earnest I only want the best for the king, Kings Landing and all of Westeros... I've been wrapped up in all my self pity, stuck in that damp castle of mine without any thought for anyone else." He took another bite to eat. "And so I come to Kings Landing expecting the worst and well... I find a stability wrought with instability, if you understand."
