As the leaders close in on the last stretch of the race, Royce leans forward in his saddle and proves that Duskendale's reputation is not for nothing, shooting ahead of Velaryon. The Bloody Sparrow takes a lesson from Royce and does the same and passes Velaryon also, whose horse seems to be all but spent, with Lord William Dawnrose nipping at his heels. Somewhere near the beginning of the track, Barclay still wrestles with his horse, who had gotten turned around going the wrong way round the track for a moment.

Lord Brynden's lead over the rest of the pack was so great, that only Ser Dunnock would have been capable of stealing the win from him. The Bloody Sparrow fails to deliver, however, and Royce passes the finish line in first, raising his arms triumphantly. Dawnrose's takes the last stretch at a sprint, and manages to take second from Dunnock, who finishes with third.
Eventually, after most have left the race track, Barclay's horses wheezes past the finish line.

Um, Rupert Trant is an expert horseman, not novice. Would that affect the rolls at all?

Um, Rupert Trant is an expert horseman, not novice. Would that affect the rolls at all? Significantly. I'll modify the race now, I believe it will end up with Trant finishing in sixth place, making a quick calculation.

There, Rupert Trant had a much more succesful race. It seems I mixed up his archery and his horse riding skill. It didn't make much difference for the archery since Trant was out the first round of that anyway.
