The Lord Commander's office is sparsely decorated, though it's insulated thoroughly by thick stone walls to ward off the cold. A large desk sat in the center of the room, which was cluttered with maps and charts and various correspondence, although a decanter of wine was always present as well. There are several chairs on one side, for those seeking an audience with the Lord Commander.

Andry entered the room, and stared balefully at the Lord Commander, "What?"

"Well I was considering appointing you as Commander of Shadow Tower, but if you don't want the job you can leave, your grace," Lord Commander Farman said, the last two words dripping with sarcasm.

"Andry, what do you want?" The Lord Commander asked as the former prince was leaving. "Is there a particular reason you're so bloody surly?"

"My lives purpose was stolen from me." Andry replied, "And I am forced to serve with Murders and Rapists."

"You could always take your life, or desert our brotherhood, if you hate being here so much, you know," Jaymes said dryly. "No, I suppose neither of those are options for you. Do you truly believe that you are a victim of circumstance, that you did nothing wrong to be punished with the Wall?"

"I did what any loyal man would have done in my position." Andry replied.

"Loyal to whom? I followed my liegelord's commands as a loyal vassal and was sent here as reward for my actions. If the purpose for your life was taken when you came here, what do you intend to do for the rest of your days? Will you sit here and freeze up here among the scum that you clearly have no love for or will you work toward improving the future?"

Andry frowned, "I have no choices left to me. I will do my job, but I will not pretend to enjoy my position."

"You have no anger against those who sent you here? You have no desire for vengeance?" the Lord Commander asked.

"I do but they are long dead and gone. Horas, Bettley, Irwin... those were my foes." Andry replied.

/////////////////////////////////////// Ondrew Burley, his Grandfather Herdon, and The Wull, The Norrey, The Knott, The Harclay and the Liddle arrive at the Lord Commander's chambers.
Ondrew nodded his head while the other men watch cautiously.
"I have raised the North milord, or those close enough and those willing enough to come. Lords Umber Glover and Locke stand ready with another two thousand men and will come if the need is dire. What have your rangers told you of the threat?"

"Very little. I was planning to lead a larger expedition myself within the next fortnight, because it seems as though there are less than a score of men on this Wall who are not fumbling idiots," he said savagely, his disgust apparent.
"If any of your clansmen desire to ride with us, I would ask you to choose only the most hardy and the best trackers, for the lands of Always Winter are not anything close to hospitable, though I am sure you are no stranger to the elements."
