"The betrothal of Lord Hightower and young lady Varner of course." He said, rather forcefully clinking his cup against the other man's. "The name is Roger, and its my pleasure to be making your acquaintance, you are?" "Danwell" he replied, looking rather mournfully at his cup as a small amount of strongwine sloshed over the rim and on to his hand. "Varner is it? That the one who was married to the old Master of Whispers? They say it's bad luck to marry a widow...especially his" he muttered the last under his breath. He looked around the pavilion for a familiar face, but didn't recognise anyone as he slumped back down "So who are you, Roger?" he said, forcing an attempt at a smile

"Not 'is widow Roger, his daughter. The Lady Anne never remarried. There was some talk about her marrying Lord Irwyn, them both being widowed at about the same time and all, but that never happened. I think she's content enough, or so it seems. Got alot of kids to look after and all." The man seemed to think for a moment,
"Danwell? As in Ser Danwell, the Roger who led the King's Men?"

"I just wondered if you would like to practice." he faced the large knight "But, if Ser Tristan would like to try me, I am here." he smiled If Ser Tristan thought much of the idea, he didn't say so. Justin laughed. "Perhaps in a few years when I am older, Master Mathis, you will ask again."

Mathis smiled "My lord, it was a pleasure speaking to you. Have a good day." he bowed and left

"Oh" Danwell went quiet for a few moments before a frown creased his forehead "Yes, that was me. Do I know you Ser?" he peered blearily-eyed at the man

"You don't know me, but I know your friend Ser Templeton, also formerly a Roger with the King's Men." Roger said. "He sends his regards by the way, he was disappointed that you cleared out quite so fast when the Men broke up."

Danwell shrugged "With the Lord Commander dead, along with half my lads in the fight for Kings Landing there didn't seem to be much point in carryin' on" he sighed morosely "I've already had to rebuilt them when Lord Crow slaughtered my boys in the Red Keep massacre and I din't have the heart to do it all over again" he slurred "Besides our "boy king" is near a man now, so they tell me" he growled "So he don't need a bloody bunch of nursemaids no more" he ended bitterly.
"And with my Eloise gone..." he suddenly burst into tears and began sobbing drunkenly

"His grace might be a man for true, but going from being a boy with a bunch of loyal nursemaids to being a man thrown into the Lion's Den ain't no fair at all," Roger said sagely.

Mathis smiled "My lord, it was a pleasure speaking to you. Have a good day." he bowed and left As the Florent leaves the tent, he is bumped into heavily by a slightly tipsy Knight backing up from a group of people with whom he has been conversing and sharing jokes with. "Oh! My deepest apologies Ser," he says with the slightest hint of a slur. Signs of recognition then dawn in his face after seeing the man's fox and flower sigil. "Ah.. you are... Mathis? Mathis Florent correct? Someone told me your name eariler when I said I did not recognise you. I'm Ser Antony of House Bulwer," he said with a slight wavy flourish of his hand over his bull's skull-adorned crimson doublet. The man, having drunk a considerable amount, was clearly in a more outgoing, conversational mood than usual. "I've never had too much to do with House Florent myself, not for any particular reason though!" He added hastily with a smile. "My late brother though, Lord Oliver, he always got on well with you fellows, and I think they got on well with him after he spoke for Lord Alphonse before Andry's Rebellion..." The man trailed off and licked his lips. "Did you ever meet the man?" He asked.
