"Roger?" the man blinked blearily "What occassion?" he mutters as he looks around, seeming to notice the festivities for the first time. "The betrothal of Lord Hightower and young lady Varner of course." He said, rather forcefully clinking his cup against the other man's. "The name is Roger, and its my pleasure to be making your acquaintance, you are?"

You Lord Justin surveyed this new arrival with an appraising eye. "Ah Ser Mathis... is it ser? A pleasure to meet you. Forgive me if I might inquire, how are you related to good Lord Alphonse?" The young lord smiled pleasantly as he awaited a response.

If Justin had or hadn't heard of this particular Florent branch he didn't say.
"It is my pleasure to welcome you to Oldtown Master Mathis." Justin replied. "As always the foxes of Brightwater remain our deepest of friends. Give your uncle our love. Have you been in the Far Reach long, or were you perhaps abroad? I am hoping that I can yet squeak out some justification for my ignorance." The well tutored boy blushed slightly.

Justin nodded. "I see. Wives from the free cities seem to be popular among the Florents. I understand your cousin Ser Steffan's widow was Myrish. Will you also be looking for your bride across the sea Master Mathis?"

"That is very good, Master Mathis. After all, I have found a match close to home, and I would encourage you to do likewise. Where did you reside while you in Braavos?" The boy asked, changing the subject quickly.

"My mother's father is a rich and respected person in Braavos. I resided in the house of my ancestors. But I find the Reach far more interesting, maybe because it is new to me. Oh, but I'm so sorry, I have not congratulated you on your marriage yet."

Justin nodded, "Thank you, I appreciate that. Shauna's father," Justin reached out and took his betrothed's hand, "spent quite some time in the free cities, including Braavos."

"That's wonderful. It is great when someone has the privilege to say that he met other cultures and saw the beauty of the East."

"I am young yet," Lord Justin said, blushing slightly, "But Ser Tristan Risley has agreed to tutor me on the art." Justin gestured towards a man with an imposing build in a mail hauberk and Hightower surcoat standing behind Justin's high-backed wooden chair.
"Why do you ask?"
