Soon Lance leads the new comers into the jungle. He leads them through a hard three day trek, until the end at a mountain that occasionally smokes from the crater at its peak.
Just above the tree line there lies a small stockade, with wooden walls erected. And inside there are four wooden structures, and twice that many tents. Approximately twenty people mill around the encampment. Warriors, guards, servants and the occasional Maester appear to be living comfortably in the small fort.
As they enter the wooden walls, Nehmen moves out of a wooden house, rubbing at his clean shaven face. He looks at the new group and wanders over with a smile on his face.

Nehmen shook his head, "Not this wood, it is too wet." He looked up at the crater, as he hugged Petra, and Tianna close to his chest, "They stay up there most of the time as well."

Nehmen hugged Brynden, "It has been too long." He smiled at the boy before turning to Lewyn, "You I have heard about. I still got many letters from other Maesters about your progess."

Nehmen shook his head, "They knew I was alive, and interested in you. They would send their letters to King's Landing and Piers would handle the rest. We have had contact with the outside world, just not a lot of contact."

Nehmen smiled at Lewyn, "You may stay in my residence." He motioned to the building he just walked out of. "And Brynden their are baths and food over in the barracks." He pointed toward the tents. "Lewyn come in and I will take a look at those notes and get you some wine." He placed his hand on Lewyn's back and began to move toward the wooden house.

Lance, turned toward another large wooden house, this one clearly a storage house. Then he looked up and pointed at the smoking crater of the mountain. "They are always up there, and she is with them most of the time."

Nehmen replied, "We are not on the actual Land, we are on an island far off shore. It is small and lightly populated. So far no on has found us, they believe there to be monsters in these mountains, and now they are right."

Nehmen nodded toward the sea, "Whales, dolphins, and shark can feed a dragon as well."

Nehmen shook his head, "I am afraid it is not almost time. There is still time for her to learn."

Alyn ate quietly, listening to the discussion taking place. Not for the first time he felt an intruder in an old reunion. His own maester had told him of Grand Maester Nehmen, describing him as a man with an unhealthy interest in the study of Higher Mysteries.

Nehmen looked at them and slowly shook his head, "It does not matter, many more will surely die, but regardless it is not time for her to return."

Nehmen looked at the boy, "Because if we do not do this right, we could all die. We have a goal boy, and we will not misplay out of misplaced sentiments." He took a deep breath, and then added, "Or in your parlance. If you have planned a feint, to draw your enemies forces to your right flank, you accept the lose of the feinting force. You do not panic and counter attack before it has worked."
Lance nodded.

Nehmen looked to Lance, Lance shrugged.
Nehmen chuckled, "When have dragons ever brought stability to Westeros?" Nehmen looked at Brynden, and Lewyn, "Can either of you tell me a time there was peace and happiness because of the Dragons in the Seven Kingdoms?"

Nehmen looked at Lewyn, "When I spoke of Dragons, I was actually speaking of the beasts. And there is nothing she could learn there, that she could not learn here, but then she would be exposed to the magicks of the Cult."

Nehmen shook his head, "You are completely wrong. And for the record we had a plan, that was well on its way to exposing and destroying the Cult. But that was derailed, for no purpose at all." The maester's mouth tightened, in a hard line. "We will not be distracted by a Royce again."
Lance growled, "That was my fault, Nehmen, and if you imply is not again..."
