The Invasion
On the far side of Dragonstone small boats begin to ferry in troops from the Invasion fleet. A small unit of defending skirmishers are repelled by the first wave of approximately a hundred knights. The defenders retreat to the Citadel to warn their commanders.

Rhaegar and his troops know the island backwards and have covered every eventuality. As soon as they hear news of the landing they pull back all forces into the Citadel. The massive gates are closed, massive buolders are rolled behind the gate and all defenders repair to their battle stations, waiting for the assault.

The Assault
Redwyne spends some time constructing rams and ladders, from supplies brought by his ships. Then he places the Mander in the Van and they march to the Citadel.
As they approach there the defenders launch deadly barrages down on their foes. The Mander men bleed for every inch they step forward. Arrows and stones pierce and crush as they move closer to the stone walls.
After hours of death being unleashed on the assaulters, the force from the Mander has been completely decimated, and now it is the turn of the Far Reach men to bleed in the attack. But the return arrow fire is taking its toll, and every Dragonstone defender is missed far more then five of the attacking force.
Finally some of the Far Reach men breach the top, and weary, frightened peasants scurry from the armed knights breaching the walls. A counter attack is ordered from inside the keep, but it is repelled by the fresher attacking force. The Far Reach men move along the wall into the Keep.
Losses of the Defenders: 850 Losses of the Mander Army: 5800 Losses of the Far Reach Army: 3400

Galahad is in the thick of the battle, trying to find any sight of Lord Valeryon, before he moves to kill him, a dozen of his personal entourage at his side.

The Breach
Soon there were more Far Reach men atop the wall then defenders. The Dragonstone men were pushed further, and further back. The peasants pressed into service by Velaryon run screaming distracting the trained warriors from their attacks.
The walls are quickly routed as men and woman are thrown from the high walls to their deaths. But soon a gate is thrown open, and the Far Reachmen come pouring in. Lord Redwyne sits in the back of his forces watching the battle sipping an arbor red. Occasionally giving orders or directives to influence the assualt.
The Dragonstone defenders are slowly, but completely crushed under the heel of the Far Reach onslaught. Velaryon is regularly hunted out by ambitious attackers, each one falls to his blade.
Finally Ser Galahad drifts infront of his blade and the two men lock in combat.
Losses of the Defenders: 600 Loss of Far Reach Army: 700

The Conclusion
Waving his hand Velaryon summons forth several defenders who leap between him and Galahad. Then turning Rheger runs into the keep. Galahad screams in frustration but is not able to reach him with out losing his own life pointlessly.
Soon the last of the Dragonstone defenders is wiped away by the Far Reachmen, but there is no sign of Velaryon. Redwyne orders a thorough search of the Citadel, and that all of the surviving defenders are interrogated before being executed.

Galahad wants men ordered to patrol the waters and the shores of Dragonstone, before searching himself, restlessly, through the keep, the surrounding areas, and the shores.

Galahad continues to have the shores patrolled, hoping to capture Valaryon, should he try to escape the island. The seas are also patrolled.
