Danwell made a disparaging noise "Do you think this Olander can be trusted? These crannogmen are an odd lot in normal times. I'm not saying we have a choice but to go along with his plan, but it's prudent to watch our backs at all times. After all, we will not be the most welcome people in Seagard should we go back"

Patrek nodded, "That is why we are going to be with the northmen, scattered about. 500 out of 15 500 is not that noticably and if we are as dirty and unkempt as the others, they could do nothing but assume that we are from the North".

Danwell snorted out a laugh "First time being on the road for 3 months has been useful. We now have a perfect disguise as a northman" he barked out another laugh and then, to his horror, was overcome by a fit of the giggles as he looked at hairy, unkempt Patrek and the rest of his men. He began to guffaw loudly as tears ran down his face and he struggled to catch his breath

"Ha...ahhh" Danwell gasped for air as he began to calm down
"Ha...ha. Oh my ribs!" he rubbed his side as he chuckled. "It's bad enough looking like a northman, but I wish we didn't have to smell like them too" he grinned. "Ser Verden might stick out though, he never seems to be without his scented rose water"

Danwell grinned, some of his old humour returning "At least they don't wear bones through their noses and braid their hair like the wildlings. I doubt mine is long enough, even now" he rubs his hand through his thinning crown. He cracked a yawn "I think I will see if I can find somewhere to bed down, Pat. My arse is numb from sitting ahorse for the last two nights"
